I hardly ever write nagative reviews, but I felt in this instance I needed to. I am in the service industry, PMU, and deal with clients every day. Stacy and I had chatted through FB messenger about the lip filler special she had going on. She quoted me a price and I made an appointment with her. I figured I would try a new injector since she was running a special, though I knew I should have stayed with my original one.
Her office was very cute and she was welcoming. She talked me into getting some of my previous lip filler dissolved, which had migrated a tiny bit. I barely had noticed it, but I figured, why not. Back story: I had had my lips filled with Restylane 2 times early in the year (different injectors), and one time with Juvederm Vollure (my favorite brand).
Stacy placed the filler dissolving solution into my lip and then fills my upper and lower lip with Resylane Kysse. I did not know this, but you are not supposed to put dissolver and filler in the same day. My original injector told me she tells her clients to wait 2 weeks before coming back for filler after having their lips dissolved.
A week or so after having my lips done, I noticed a shelf had formed above my upper lip. I knew it was filler migration right away. I also had contacted Stacy right after my augmentation about being over charged $125 more than the special she was running during that time. She took care of it, but now I'm wondering if she up charges her clients on purpose to make more money. 🤔 I.e. telling me I need to have filler dissolved in my lips, which was an extra $200, along with over charging me $125.
Anyway, I text Stacy about the migration and send photos to her. She has her assistant deal with me first. She tells me all filler can migrate and that it is my previous filler that was dissolved that's making it look the way it does. I knew for a fact I did not have bad previous filler migration there and showed her before photos of me smiling. Also, when new filler is injected, it's hard to the touch. I could definitely tell it was the new filler that had migrated back up into my upper lip.
Stacy ends up calling me and tries to tell me my lips look beautiful. I tried to stay calm and not argue with her, but she was not trying to help me. All she wanted to do is tell me it was my previous filler and that I would have to come back and get the rest dissolved... which I would have to pay another $200 for. The last option she gave me was I could come in and get it all dissolved and she would refund me. I could tell she was sick of dealing with me, and handled the situation very poorly. All she would have had to do, is have me come in and dissolve the filler that had migrated. Simple as that. Instead, she tried her darndest to tell me I was wrong and place blame elsewhere.
Yes filler can migrate, I understand that, but if your client is not happy, you invite them in and fix the problem. Its not complicated or difficult. I had sent her clear photos of the migration. Very poor customer service and unfortunately lost a client. I would have maybe gone back to her for botox had his not happened. She was also running a holiday special on that as well.
I have not contacted Stacy again, and she has not reached out to check on me, even knowing I had filler migration. I ended up going back to my regular injector, whom I trust.....I only went to Stacy because she had the holiday filler special going on. My injector saw my lips and the migration right away. She said, "you have a shelf on both sides." I replied....yes, I do. She told me it was bad, but fixable with some dissolving solution. So, I had her do that and the problem was FIXED. She only charged me $100 for it over the $200 that Stacy wanted to charge me twice. My lady also told me dissolver and filler should never be done the same day.
So word of caution if you go to Stacy. If all goes well, you'll probably be happy. If it doesn't, you'll be left disappointed and out some money. If you already have an injector you trust, do NOT stray from them. Learn...
Read moreSo I have had botox and fillers by several injectors and Stacie is the one who I trust the most. She actually talked me out of a certain procedure that I was convinced I needed - so nice! As far as prices go, Stacie is comparable to others in our area and she does have specials. That said, I prefer to go to someone based on experience vs the lowest cost when it comes to things like my face. I will definitely recommend Magnolia to family and friends and will be back for...
