Lots of space with grills picnic tables and drinking fountains sprinkled around. There is a band Shell a ball park a beach some playgrounds tennis courts basketball courts ball diamond and lots of beautiful over looks of Lake Minnetonka and the marina. This place is beautiful and while there are usually people here it never seems too busy.Meticulously well-maintained and in walking distance of downtown Excelsior which is also very beautiful to walk. I highly recommend going! Very friendly for handicap or wheelchairs, too!

Hubby and I enjoyed an Al & Alma's dinner cruise around Lake Minnetonka. Having never actually been on the lake, it was fun to learn about the history and well known people who live in our area. Dinner was good, although the menu was different than I expected. Bar staff was polite and knowledgeable. Met some other couples on their first cruise as well. All in all a fun experience.

Amazing!! My favorite place to hang out with my siblings. We go and get ice cream from Licks Unlimited and then walk there. Such a nice area. Well put together. Some nights you can watch the baseball or softball games across from here. The concert recently was nice. I added some photos. 4th of july was nice too. Overall, convenient place to walk to.

We had gotten together with other churches around are local community. It was very nice to have church service outside. They had people playing music. And having church services. With the other churches joining us. And family's comming together. People and family's around us were very nice. We had chairs around tables and picnic tables where people could sit. And alot people brought thier own chairs to sit on. And for treats after church service. All the churches and the congregations came together. It was great to have the church services. To meet people around our community. And after the service they had coffee for us and water offered to people who wanted it. And had a mini doughnut truck. A family owned this truck. And our churches paid them for serving us all as church members. To have one bag of free mini doughnuts as a treat after church service. It was a nice day. And a perfect area to have our outdoor church service. We had it August 7th it was a good day. And fun to be part of the other...

This beautiful lakeside park has something for everyone—whether you’re here for a relaxing stroll, a family picnic, or to catch live music at the band shell. The views of the water are stunning, especially at sunset, and the park is always clean and well-maintained. There’s plenty of green space for kids to play, spots for fishing, and benches to relax and watch the boats.

I love how the park connects to the Excelsior downtown area, making it easy to grab a coffee, ice cream, or a bite to eat, then head back to enjoy the lake. The walking paths are smooth and accessible, and there’s a nice sandy beach that’s great for a quick swim on warm days.

Excelsior Commons also hosts events throughout the year like concerts, festivals, and art fairs, which make the community feel vibrant and connected. The facilities, including restrooms and picnic tables, are in good shape, and parking is fairly convenient with both street parking and...

If I have to pay for parking to attend this beach it makes it not a free place to take my children to swim...with that said they do not maintain the beach AT ALL. I feel for the community you are in it's not asking for a small amount of maintenance to make the experience more enjoyable PLUS we had multiple (6) dogs running around on the sandy beach area and in the water. One continously kept walking in to our shade tent for our infant daughter dragging sand and debri into the tent and over our belongings while the owner of the dog was staggering DRUNK! Plus my son found TWO PEICES OF BROKEN GLASS RIGHT IN FRONT OF WHERE WE WERE PLAYING ON THE BEACH!! Very disappointed for...
