I had a horrible experience at the "Exeter YMCA!" I was treated like a "outsider " and the majority of the members are "clicky" and liberal minded !
If you are not a "Boston sports fan" like I am definitely not, you will be defemated and talked about , and snitched on!
In regard to this YMCA and the entire seacoast area of nh , people are scummy and it's all about their" true colors" as I found that out!
I am greatful and blessed ,that I cancelled my membership at this YMCA , cause I was a target and I felt very uncomfortable!
Inspite of this YMCA it felt like a "blue n gray " yuppy / obnoxious atmosphere! full of yahoos , jokers ,and trouble makers!

Read moreIt’s definitely not a gym made for many members. They have a group glass Monday and Wednesday in the main lifting area. You can’t use any of the equipment 9am-10 and they have classes in the downstairs lifting area going on at the same time. It’s not a big enough gym to allow that. It’s the only time I have not to be rushed with my toddler and I can’t get my workout in.I’m a mother and don’t have the flexibility that some of the other members have. Read moreMuch nicer than the Portsmouth Y, albeit no pool (though I understand there is one being planned); much nicer equipment; a lot of space to do stretching, etc... in the classrooms if there are no classes.
