Fat Hen Brewing Company in Exeter, NH for a flight of six & a full pour. I had been waiting to find time to check these guys out after opening around a month & a half ago. I saw there was only one IPA on the beer menu when checking Untappd so I was excited to throwdown some English style offerings. With a Russian & English themed brewery in the same town I'm shocked a war hasn't broken out. There was only six beers on tap to try, but I was told that they have a couple more taps to eventually add beers on. I never expect a new brewery to have over six to eight beers when opening, you want to make sure you're not sacrificing quality for tap numbers. 🍻🍺🔥 I grabbed a flight of all six beers available & a full pour of their IPA after to quench the haze hound in me. I'll go over the four favorites I had, starting off with ENGLISH SUMMER Wheat, which was excellent for a wheat. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but this was a really good one. I then had the ENGLISH AUTUMN Amber Lager which was delicious & crisp. THE STEVEDORE Porter was a standout here as well with notes of chocolate & caramel. The hop head in me is always excited to try a IPA & THE DUTCHMAN did not disappoint. I grabbed a full pour to finish off my visit. 🍺💪 I came for the beer obviously, but had heard great things about the pies here. My friend & I each ordered one to check out & let me tell you the hype is f%&king real. I got the Chicken Pot Tikka Marsala pie which was way better than I expected & paired great with the beer. I'm not a huge pot pie guy, but this place has turned me into a believer. My friend got the Steak & Ale pie & was raving about his as well. The taproom itself is small with a handful of bar seats & a few tables, but it seems perfect for the vibe they have going. Great engaging friendly staff which made the visit even better. I'm hoping that these guys have "great success" (in Borat voice) so I can come back again in 2025. 🍻🍻🔥☘🥧 BEERGASM RATING - FIRST DATE WENT GREAT 🍻🍆💦 PIEGASM - 10/10 THAT PIE HAS ME SHOOK 🥧 #craftbeer #supportlocal #beerstagram #BeerGoals #untappd #NewHampshire #newengland #newhampshireeats #beer #brewery #brewerylife #bartender

Highly recommend this friendly, cozy spot. Went today (12:30 Saturday) and the place was pleasantly full. Bartender Steve immediately greeted us as we walked in and we ordered a couple good pints of beer. He let us know we were next for a seat and to watch for table opening. Shortly after, he offered us 2 comfy leather swivel bar seats at the bar. We started with the sausage roll (several slices of sausage filled flaky pastry with a yummy spicy mustangs dip. We each had a meat pie (hubby the classic beef meat pie, me the chicken pot pie) each with mashed potatoes and peas. We enjoyed and ate every bite along w 2 more tasty beers. Steve continued to be great bartender, helping suggest beers and pies. The space is like a classy pub. Deep green walls and white wainscoting, pretty hanging tapestries, sun filled front table area and cozier darker back bar area. Lots of people in and out for take out beer and pies. Seems 2-4pm less busy to get a table easily. This place is truly a gem! (Next door is an amazing chocolate place-Enne- worth saving room for a hot cocoa or coffee.

We absolutely love Fat Hen Brewing Co. The beer selection is plentiful and diverse and if you're not into beer they do carry great wine and our favorite sparkling, Chandon! Although small, the staff is always willing get you a comfortable spot. We had a group of 8 at the couch/coffee table and had a great time! Amazing variety of pies which include classics and seasonal creations! Peas are off the charts and the mac & cheese is a favorite of our 11 year old! Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed 🥧🍻🫛

We were excited about prime rib but when we arrived at 4pm they said they only had end pieces left, I decided on bangers and mash instead bc med-med/well is no bueno. Bangers were tasty but the mash was cold. Hubby got prime rib anyway, the fat wasn't rendered making it chewy. It was also cold as was his mash, veggies, and Yorkshire puds (not just not hot enough, actually cold). Kids got the big joe burger which was kind of dry, and mac n cheese, which was probably the best bite of the day. They were out of the first wine I ordered and then out of the apple pie we ordered. Cherry pie was excellent and the Lamington was good too. The chef came out and taught my son a new origami crane when she saw he was making others animals which was the highlight of the day. Great vibe but...
