So while I love the store I just want to tell my story. We went in on Super Bowl Sunday. 5 stars for inviting us sew and 5 stars for the lovely food. The owner is very nice. I was sad once home when I caught that she failed to discount the 20% on a canvas. (I didn’t know she was doing 20% off until I heard conversations)A couple of calls and 2 weeks later she sent me my refund of $26. I’m sitting here sewing and I realize that she sold me 4 skeins of Pepper Pot for the background of a different canvas at $5 each. That’s high priced but at the time she made the trip there so nice. She and I discussed the stitch I would use given to me by another woman working there who also agreed 4 skeins. I spent $20 on the threads and turns out I only needed 1 skein. So from a financial point of view = $26 overcharge and 3skeins too much $15, I walked out paying her $41 that I could have saved that day. Like I said she’s very nice and it’s a lovely shop. Diane has welcomed stitchers to build a community by opening two Thursday nights and now one Sunday a month for open stitching. Stitchers come and enjoy fellowship as well as learn new stitches and techniques. Diane is friendly and welcoming to everyone who crosses her door.
