We ordered a pizza for delivery at 5:20 on a Friday night and received it at 7:40. We were told it would arrive no later than 6:30 (which is an hour and 10 minutes from the call?). When it didn’t arrive, I called at 6:50 and they said it would be “minutes” and the delivery guy was on on his way. Fast forward to 7:35 still no pizza ..... called and the guy was “really on his way” this time. Long story short..... pizza was decent but not worth an almost 2.5 hour wait. When it finally delivered, the ticket was timed as leaving at 7:06.... which means we were lied to about when the delivery guy actually left. Their excuse was “we have 12k in business tonight.” I’m glad their business is thriving, but the pizza wasn’t that great to wait almost 2.5 hours.....particularly when you have have to reheat it. If you’re looking for an honest and timely delivery ....DO NOT order from here. They apparently don’t need...
Read moreTerrible, terrible pizza. Ordered a Detroit and garlic knots, both were so bland and tough I literally couldn't chew them. Absolutely flavorless, like eating shoe-leather. The Detroit was tiny, like a personal pizza. I could not find any cheese on it at all, just what was charred around the edges. The knots were reheated with the plastic sauce cup in the pan, so the plastic melted into the sauce - disgusting. Wouldn't come back here if it was the last "pizza" place on earth. Maybe their regular pies are good, I'll never know, but the Detroits make me beg for frozen pizza. I know why this place is rated 2.9 stars on Yelp. On a side note, the menu says "Detroit Pie - Mozzarella, tomato sauce, add any topping" which I thought meant a topping was included, a nice gesture. Then the guy behind the counter said "Sure you can add any topping, but for $4" and agreed everyone gets misled by the wording....
Read moreHave something other than pizza for a change! There is more to Italian cuisine than pie and pasta. No need to expand beyond your beltline for flavor! Order outside of your typical items and be amazed. Their pizza is really good (I prefer thinner crust round, some like the Sicilian big square). Their other dishes and sandwiches are tasty also. Warm vegetable dishes with greens and beans are mild and flavorful. Potatoes and peppers with garlic are simple and savory. I appreciate that their food is not like eating a salt-lick as many other dining establishments these days which seem bent on raising blood pressure via killing flavor at the same time. Their sausage, pepper and onion sandwich is great also. Their gravy tastes familiar, very family almost like our grandparents...
