I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy!! If I can give this place no stars I would!! If you love your family member stay away from this horrific nightmare of nursing home. My parent almost died there from neglect! Thank God I immediately took my parent out of there and took her home. As a matter of fact when my parent was there a Spanish old woman died from there from neglect. She fell and broke her hip because no one was paying attention to her or checked on her when she ran the bell, her daughter was devastated because when she went to the hospital her mother died, and it was because of MapleGlen neglect. They are Always short of staff, they lie act nice in the beginning then everything changes after a few days, they all barely speak English. Mima the Portuguese social worker speaks barely any English is a liar and is rude and does nothing and doesnât care or know what sheâs doing, imagine how they treat their own parents in her country. She needs to get fired. I honestly donât understand how she was hired. The CNAâs also donât speak English which is terrible. How do you communicate? Itâs pretty disgusting to have people like that work in a facility that the poor residents need help all the time. She should be fired immediately, Amongst others including Mr. Dublin, heâs a phony and does nothing, tells you to talk to the nurses, and the nurses are all worthless and barely speak English, except for one maybe two. The so called Polish doctor was always rude and hardly spoken English couldnât understand a darn thing she said. They hire these people with NO CREDENTIALS I guess because theyâre desperate for workers, they canât get anyone legitimate or a professional to work there. They actually need to see if they are citizens of the United States to work anywhere. Residents are neglected most of the time. Why I know this? Because I was always there and I observed everything. The residents were very nice with me, and they would also vent to me how horribly they live there. I also complained. I also called the authorities. I also called the health department. I also called the embossment. And honestly they did nothing. That is why Iâm pursuing a lawsuit. They never answer the phones and over medicate the residents. They lie and the place smells really bad all the time. Itâs nauseating. The rooms are small and dirty. Their offices, in case you havenât noticed are very sloppy, messy and dirty also. Yeah This place should be closed down immediately! Itâs horrific! Iâm in the process of pressing charges like I said, itâs in the process. These poor people canât defend themselves the nurses and the CNAâs close the doors behind them when theyâre inside with a patients room when there feeding them they miss treat the patients behind closed doors that canât defend themselves. Donât let their acting nice to your face fool you. Youâre going to make a big mistake letting someone you love in that DISCUSTING nursing home, Which by the way I do have proof!! THINK! Before you consider this place for your loved ones if you really care and love them. Iâm not saying this to be mean or to down this place but they gave me no choice and enough is enough this has happened not once but many times they would say theyâre going to fix some thing they donât. Theyâre going to take care of some thing they donât. They donât answer their phones you have to complain so much for them to get back to you and when they do they still nothing gets done, everyone that works Iâve mentioned to some of in the office them and said they understand but need there job, they know whatâs going on but apparently they need a job and will not side with you. Thereâs more but to much to list. Iâm posting this complaint to save your families from going through the same thing I experienced. I can write more but I wonât. I can possibly write a book on this place, but I think you get it you get the picture. Good luck.! Try Preakness in Wayne itâs beautiful and its clean and many nurses and staff 24/7. Whomever is posting nice things about this...
Read moreDon't allow your loved one to stay here. It is a disgraceful subacute/hospice facility. Actually, I give a rating of 1/2 star.
The marketing brochure presented to potential customer or Maple Glen is a misrepresentation of the services you actually receive! It is promoted by the marketing material for the facility that you get "specialized medical consultation" since there is only one doctor to work with. Other competitive facilities have more than one doctor to consult which is believed to be a negative, not necessary so. One misrepresentation, for example, the doctor is NOT the "male" cardiologist as advertised. Instead, she is female doctor who doesn't readily care to discuss in detail and clarity what is the prognosis of the patient at the current state or going forward.
Most of the CNAs and charge nurses (especially the night shift) IGNORE and make it difficult when you ask them to provide daily sanitary and comfort care for your loved one. They hope you go away so they need NOT DO what they are responsible and paid to do. I have experience seen several patients hitting the CNA button waiting on average for an hour getting no response. So daunting.
Updated Information regarding your loved one is vague and when you call by phone, no voicemail box is activated so you can leave a message for the medical or administrator staff (social worker) You need to push the staff to communicate with you. When a family member asks why certain medical protocols are not being followed and administered there is a "round about and/or no answer".
It is not a sanitary facility. The patient's bathroom have swarming flies and stench of urine. Not well ventilated, The cleaning method is to turn on the air conditioner to shoo away the flies.
A patient's clothing gets "LOST" with no straight answer as to what happened to them. (family asked to take care of laundering...
Read moreI am a veteran. As a soldier we always work to answer the call when called up. Moreover, never hesitate to go above and beyond the call of duty. I've found it hard to find ppl that share the same values. Until I met Trevor Dublin. My mom needed care to see if she was strong enough to continue to live alone. If she needed to learn new habits to prevent her from falling again. We both had a heavy heart of the idea of her being place in a nursing even if it was temporary. Pls understand all I have accomplished has been because of my mother. My fear is that no one will care for her like me. Then I place her in Genesis. Trevor did as he does for all his tenants. He loves on them and his staff is a true reflection of him. He's a man that not only stands by his words but his actions are a mirror to his wonderful spirit. Pls understand it doesn't stop there. My mom's experience was so touching that by the 2nd day she felt safe and completely comfortable. Words can't express the enormity of peace that came over me as I left to go home, knowing she was in great hands. I am sure that anyone struggling with the decision of placing a love one at any facility is overwhelmingly taxes, but I assure you if you were to choose this facility your love one will have great care and be in Great hands. In my yrs I have learned that there are places that leave you in awe , then there are places that have people that leave you speechless. Even if I try to express my gratitude and dive deep into the abyss of my soul It couldn't capture how...
