Hot Bagels is an okay local bagel place. The inside is very old and not very sanitary. The workers are on their phones and don’t have the best customer service. Not to mention they don’t have trash cans? at all. Not even outside the store. The bagel was tasty but a little small and not very Jersey. There is nothing on display, so you can’t see topping like cream cheeses, only the register, bagels, a list of the basic bagels (everything, blueberry, plain, poppy,…), and a old school supplies like the fridge. Once you get used the fast pace expectations of yourself as a customer to get in, order, and get out... the best bagels in the area. My husband grew up going here and when we return he gets up early almost every morning to surprise the family with these great hot bagels. The everything, salt, and garlic bagels are the best. One of the best foodie moments is opening a bag of warm bagels, pulling one apart as the warm steam escapes and enjoying the chewy rich flavor. Bagels are good, but service and sanitation is absolutely horrible!!! The Hispanic employee needs to chill out. He his charing customers and collecting cash and then using the same hand to get the bagels. When I confronted him he had the audacity to get mad at me and then said “don’t eat it” lmao. Like I’m paying for my food you’re not doing me a favor by making a bagel. It’s not free. Definitely need better people working there.
