Soup Maison — Restaurant in Fair Lawn

I would like to share my experience with everyone. This place is no joke and I’m very serious about my food. I was very privileged to be invited to the private tasting that happened prior to the grand opening. While there is always the extra stress of opening a new business in the new world we live in these ladies hit the ground running and are for a lack of better words delivering. Everything that I have sampled to date has been fabulous. A decent selection of fresh soups daily, deli sandwiches and grab and go dinners including a unique pulled pork and a variety of other options daily at a very respectable cost. I tasted a chicken meatball that more than delivered, very meaty not mush and flavorful. Trust me I’m not a fan of non traditional meatballs being married into a Italian family but these were spot on. Soup Maison also offers catering options for your convenience. This is truly an amazing place and they are willing to go outside the box to meet your needs, just ask them. With all the negative vibes in the world today this is fabulous to see an example of small business growth with all the world has been going through. Excellent job...

I saw when they put the sign up for this establishment a few months ago and I thought, a local soup spot, nice. The other day I finally had an opportunity to check it out and I was blown away. They serve more than just soups. They have freshly made entrees ranging from Asian and Jamaican cuisine to New American and French. Chef Paul also has some grab and go items and a small grab and go grocery section. As an Entrepreneur, I was also impressed with how he maximizes his space. It's not big; but the layout is great.

Back to the soups...

I've tried the Lobster bisque, the wild mushroom, and the split pea. All really, really good. Oh, and I tried the Jerk Chicken. Looking forward to trying other entrees on his varied menu.

Amazing owner/chef Paul stopped washing dishes and came out to greet me as a first time customer. Was so proud of each meal he prepared, explained how to heat dishes up so they don't lose their taste, told me about his fridge that keeps temperature lower than FDA/Food safety guidelines. And of course, every item we bought was delicious and there was so much respect to each ingredient. That was quite a find considering his prices are very reasonable - some are on the level of a Chinese restaurant while quality of ingredients/health-oriented choices definitely won me over. The whole experience was superb and reminded of a small-town feel that we may have lost with all these Amazon/Walmarts. May he stay in business for years to come and be an asset to...
