In early September, I got on a regular car from Denari Park Depot to Anchorage. There were relatively few passengers in the car, and the observation car was also empty. The view from the train window and the scenery changed so wonderfully that I never got bored while riding. Unfortunately, on a cloudy day, I couldn't see Mount Denali from the train window. Still, it is a car window scenery that can be fully satisfied. Of particular note is the canteen car. The windows open up to the high ceiling and the feeling of opening is wonderful. A relaxing lunch while watching the changing yellow leaves landscape was the best moment. When you get on the Alaska Railway, you should have lunch and / or dinner in the canteen car. Scott was out main... well... train dude guy. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and told us some great stories about growing up in Alaska.
