This is a super cool place that nobody talks about. We luckily ran across a flyer at the tourist center.
When we got there we were instantly welcomed and my husband and I were in awe of all the cool pieces/artifacts and such that they have. We bought a mammoth tusk, elk antler and some homemade goat milk products. We worked with Angel and I have to say, she is the sweetest most helpful person you can ask for. Since we've been home, we've been in contact with themm several times just getting advice and they have always willingly helped us out.

From hand carved bone and antler items to fossils, hand crafted soaps, jewelry and more, we found the shop fascinating. Mrs. Knapf, who was incredibly gracious, allowed us to shop and freely touch the many pelts, furs and antlers. There was none of the stuffy "look but don't touch" that you find in many antique and artifact shops. Instead, she encouraged questions and spent time ensuring we knew the best places around town and what to do on our way to Chena Hot Springs. Read moreThese people are awesome! If you don't want to bother with souvenir shops filled with Chinese garbage, come here! Almost everything in there is locally made in the area. I ended up buying a few more things than I had planned. Angel will also assist any out of towners by suggesting local attractions and businesses. I think I ended up talking to her for about an hour.
