Growden Park — Attraction in Fairbanks

The kids park is fine. There is some graffiti and lighter burns on the playground equipment but it is nice. The skate park is a great outlet for kids but it really needs to be revamped! I also love the covered pavilion type thing but there are often a lot of homeless people hanging around over there so I kind of avoid that side of the park. It could use some more picnic tables!! I do love it...

Great little ballpark in Fairbanks Alaska. Home of the Alaska Goldpanners summer collegiate team. Great family fun at a great price (tickets right behind home we're $15). Tons of parking. Went to see a Baseball game, and Goldpanners won. Food looked good from the concession stand, especially the loaded nacho plate! Bring a cushion to sit on if general admission. Ticket prices are reasonable, $12for adults, $7 for seniors and students, under 6 free, for general admission. Think they have a discount for active duty...
