This place doesn't cut corners! It's 1 year later and I'm finally getting a slice of our wedding cake and it's AMAZING! Real butter, real icing, real flowers. No fondant! REAL ICING!

We made an appointment and right from the start I felt like family, at one point I was behind the counter cutting cakes! When we left I had enough cake "samples" to ruin a week at the gym! Which we did.

We made our choice and on the big day they delivered with no problems at all. The cake was beautiful and completely intact and set up ahead of schedule!!!

Everything was perfect. We would highly recommend and have been!

I should warn you all however. I'm from a modest background (degree in culinary arts, no IT here ) and I'm not the average stuck up jackass from fairfax/Arlington that you see around here. No Mercedes, only 3 bedroom house, and I work 50 hours a week. I'm not a trophy wife who doesn't know my way around the kitchen. Our wedding wasn't on MTV and I don't own a govt consulting firm... so my high praise might not be enough for some. We are real down to earth people who do NOT often pay for a service. We do it ourselves, so when I pay someone to do something I can do myself I expect ALOT. We got a lot and we will continue to recommend...

This one hurts to write because I will say they make my absolute favorite cake (the Heaven cake). But they hurt themselves to the point I don’t even want to give them business by the way they treat their customers. Both my husband and I hate that we love their cake because they are always a pain to deal with. My mother in law used to come religiously but stopped as well due to the same issues. They seem to be angry at you for ordering from them. Whenever you pick up, it is rushed and unpleasant. Heaven forbid (little pun there) if you order with only a day or two notice! Be prepared to get lectured about not giving them enough prep time. I’ve always ordered by email because we are both working during the day and I went to order a cake recently (with plenty of lead time) and was told I needed to call during their incredibly short business hours to place an order. I guess good for them if they have enough business to just turn away orders like that. The way they interact with customers makes it just painful enough of an experience to say it’s not worth having my favorite cake. I wouldn’t recommend...

When I called to order a birthday cake, I inquired whether they could make a chocolate cake with chocolate icing filling and white buttercream icing. The woman told me quite abruptly that "they don't do that." She did not offer any interesting alternatives. I asked about one I viewed on the webpage, and she described it, but I thought the recipient might not like that. She seemed to be in a huge rush. We picked up the cake today. It had Happy Birthday written on it alright, but no other decoration, except a ribbon they wrapped around the cake which is an annoyance to remove. It must be cut with scissors which then have icing on them. No flowers, no nothing. For $32.00. The cake is adequate; didn't have to be a work of art. I'd rather it be a good quality cake with wholesome ingredients. But it should not look as though they did the bare minimum to get it out the door.
