Had two defective Thermador products shipped to us...now Thermador repair rep asking us $1000 to fix microwave...
We have a broken Wall unit (combo of microwave+oven+hot drawer) that is ~2.5 years old. We got the unit from Karls appliances in Fairfield NJ and Wendy Johnston was the sales rep. We have had number of issues with several appliances that we ordered from Thermador. First, the double drawer fridge stopped working in 1.5 years or less and had to be completely replaced. Then, the second most expensive appliance of wall unit (combo of microwave+oven+hot drawer) developed a problem just a few months past 2 years of purchase. The microwave stopped working and started giving errors. We didn’t expect this kind of quality of appliances from Thermador. Thermador provides warranty for 2 years and having the appliances fail just a little more than 2 years makes their quality inferior compared to the other brands out there. We used Thermador website to call George appliances and the person they send had no clue about the error nor how to even handle the trim of the microwave. We ended up paying the service call but with nothing in return. On top of that, we got quoted by George’s appliance for $1000 just to fix the microwave. This is a complete rip off by Thermador and their registered appliance repair shops. Thermador quality of appliances has been suspect in the last few years that we have used their appliances and even after buying expensive products, their products fail just as soon as the warranty expire. I wouldn’t recommend buying from Thermador or Karls appliances and definitely not calling...
Read moreI would NEVER recommend this place About 10 years ago we bought all Thermador products they were delivered the day before Thanksgiving neither the Stove (that was industrial) nor the dishwasher worked I couldn't believe it I called right away they said CALL Thermador I said Thanksgiving is tomorrow Well its not us it's them SMH I Never went back The appliances I used closed down Like an idiot I tried them again The cashier was nasty when we were paying it was almost closing time she was seriously YELLING at our salesman Yo my draw is closed Why You Do This I said listen I will cancel the order what do I care The salesman said no its OK Well the first refrigerator came dented The delivery men dented my stairs my new stove my floors my glass front door I called Carl's they said Oh we aren't responsible Wait I thought I bought my stuff from you No we aren't the delivery (I always take a video of my home before a delivery) The delivery company owner was great he came over and made it right I would give the delivery owners 5 stars I get the 2nd refrigerator It is making all kinds of noise this is crazy I should have known better Please stay away from this company I won't be doing...
Read moreDO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! I typically don't write reviews, but I really feel compelled because of the absolute awful experience I had. I went to go get a new fridge, after a terrible experience at Home Depot. The staff was nice enough and helped me find what I wanted and me feel like I was getting a deal (Which turns out, the price was the same everywhere else). After waiting two weeks, I get a call the day before the delivery from the manager Jerry saying, 'You know this is on back order?' I told him I did not, as my receipt clearly stated the day it was to be delivered. He then threw the salesman Eugene under the bus, saying he was now on vacation, but should have told me it was on backorder, when in fact, it was Jerry who set everything up. He then tried to sell me the floor model as well as other cheaper, crappier options. I asked for my money back so I could move on with my life. He offered nothing else to fix this problem, except that he 'wished he could have given me money back plus what the fridge cost.' But apparently, that was all talk.
I went to P.C. Richard and had my fridge delivered the next day. This place is a bait and switch, I highly advise never...
