P6 Aviation — Local services in Fairfield

P6 is my first adventure into flying. The team (Pete & team) are all terrific people, all eager to help you be successful. I'm currently pursuing my Private Pilot Certificate and committed to learning to fly in a Cirrus. I met with Pete W when I was considering aviation and he was incredibly informative, supportive, patient, and great to work with. The aircraft fleet at P6 are well-maintained and I am learning to fly in SR20's. The Cirrus Flight Simulator at P6 is helpful to use when weather prevents actual flying, or when learning the avionics in some of my training sessions. The team of CFI/instructors are super helpful and always positive and supportive. Scheduling and rentals are smooth, and Lisa F makes all that simple. On a more personal part of the experience with P6, Jon W (my CFI) has a wealth of flying experience and decades of knowledge. His instruction, explanations, and ability to detail safety, perspective, attitude, focus and all the other million things that run through my mind when learning is really good - he is direct when he needs to be, patient when necessary, and...

I completed my Private Pilot training with P6, and can't say enough good things about the entire experience and operation. Having starting training at a more traditional flight school and feeling like I was just "another student in the system", transitioning to P6 was very easy due to the people - from the office to the instructors, everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and looking to ensure I had everything I needed to be successful. The individualized training I got from P6 comes from clearly experienced and highly professional instructors, who were able to answer every little question I might have had. The fleet of Cirrus planes is absolutely top notch, and was a massive step up (night and day, there is no comparison) from the older traditional Cessnas I started on, which you normally see at flight schools. I just completed my Private Pilot License after 3 months with P6 Aviation and can’t say enough good things about them! When I initially inquired about flight training, the owner, Pete, reached out directly to discuss the process, answer my questions, and let me know I could always reach out to him if any issues (which I never had!). My CFI, Nick, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and available and I also had the pleasure of flying with a number of other CFIs for mock checked and extra practice. The Cirrus aircraft are all in great shape and they have a large fleet, so I never had any issues scheduling, even through the busy summer.
