Sunrise at West Essex — Local services in Fairfield

Sunrise of West Essex is such a special community. It's so well-established and has tremendous longevity amongst the team. I recently moved a client into the Reminiscence memory support neighborhood and am blown away by the professionalism, empathy, and patience of the team. The transition to senior living is never easy, especially for those living with dementia. I honestly anticipated and prepared my client's family for a very rocky week (& longer!), but I'm already so pleasantly surprised with how it's going. On day TWO, she was out and about participating in activities and enjoying meals in the dining room. It's of course been emotional and there are good days and bad days, but she's already begun to trust and seek comfort in the team. Knowing she is safe and well cared for has been a huge relief for her loved ones. We are looking forward to her continuing to settle in and thrive in such a supportive, loving environment. Thank you to Bernadette (Reminiscence Coordinator) and her incredible team for making this transition smoother than we could've hoped for! If I named everyone who has made this process so pleasant, I'd run out of review space. ;)...

I want to say a big Thank you to the Whole Crew at Sunrise,the place feels like home once you walk through that door,I’m a private aide for one of the residents and I was care for like a staff and am so grateful for that. The place always smells good ,good working environment,.the residents are well kept including their space ,their is no foul smell on the floor I am on and so on . A big thank you to Miss Linda ,(the team manager). She is a good person and deserves that position cause she handle it well. She treat all staff in and out equally. Thank you team sunrise . Rabia. I am completely appalled with the experience I just had here at Sunrise. We were dealing with a passing in our family and the "nursing director" Julie, was nothing short of disgusting. During such a sensitive time she gave our family attitude the whole entire time, made nasty sarcastic comments, and accused us of stealing because we were looking at our loved ones pictures. We were so mortified by her behavior that when our loved one passed we didn't even want to tell her because we did not want her anywhere near us. With spending well over 1 million dollars in this place I am shocked that you allow such an insensitive, cold hearted person to work...
