XCEL Sports and Fitness — Local services in Fairfield

When I come to 360 I feel like the trainers and staff really care that I have a good experience and are always asking if there is something more they can do to enhance my time here. It caters to all different age groups, from hosting birthday parties for kids, to couples working out together with personal training, all the way to group fitness classes for friends. There is a great variety of equipment and machines available so that a trip to the gym never feels wasted waiting for a specific machine. The turf is large enough so that, even if a fitness class or speed school is being held, there is room for myself to do core workouts and not interfere with each other. The hours are great since I am able to come in before work and get in a workout. Highly recommend getting a personal trainer if you are just beginning to work out like I was or even just ask questions about different exercises or dieting plans. They are always open to answer any questions you might have as well as guide you to use proper form and technique with certain workouts. Mellisa the receptionist is a dishonest and incompetent person. She has created a fall hazard hanging the portable fan cord higher than the floor level and caused me to entangle in it and fall down almost broke my arm. Instead of apologizing she blamed me for it. She was away from her desk when it happened and never came to help. Yet she claimed that she saw it happen on the camera next to her desk. She is also imposes her disco machine made loud music on the members inspite of members protest when I called her attention to this facts, she concocted a story that I harassed every one and with her partner Boby issued me a letter of dismissal. Boby pretended to be the owner of the Gym and wouldn’t let me present my side of the story. I am a 73 years old retired Chemical Engineer who has 35 years of management experience in the engineering design industry. This review is ONLY for the basketball court area of the gym. If I could give it a negative star I would. I have been here on 3 seperate occasions this summer and everytime the gym area is NEVER ventilated, it is currently close to 90 degrees in here and while that may be ok for the parents of the children playing basketball here it is NOT OK FOR THERE TO BE NO COOL AIR CIRCULATING AT ALL WHILE KIDS PLAY BASKETBALL FOR HOURS! We pay to get into these tournaments as parents as the gym I'm sure gets paid to have them held here. So SHAME ON OWNERSHIP for caring more about profit than the safety if these kids knowing how hot it is. (I mentioned the review was for the court area because the rest of the facility is as cold as can be) AGAIN, SHAME ON OWNERSHIP FOR THINKING THIS CONDITIONS...
