Top notch owner, facility, coaches, and members. Nothing but people encouraging you and wanting to see you do your best. Super clean and friendly as well. No intimidation. Whatever your skill level is, you will fit right in.
For me personally, I have bad knees and ankles. No matter what the workout may call for there is always a modification that can be made for any exercise. Devan is a fantastic owner that truly cares about tour goals and well being. This place is quite spectacular!
So I would like to add to my previous remarks above. As I stated above, I have bad knees. Since November of last year I have had both knees operated on and in March of this year was able to rejoin the gym full time. It was great getting back into the swing of things and the family atmosphere of our gym. Well at the end of April I suffered a horrific accident and ripped my Achilles off the bone. (No, it was not workout related, I was simply walking and it snapped). So this is why I LOVE my gym and my gym family.
As soon as our members knew of my injury, I received nothing but positive messages and encouragement from all the coaches as well as our other members. Since the injury I have had three surgeries to repair and close up the wound. I will be out for some time but that does not stop family from being family. Devan, our amazing owner, asked my fiancé what the gym and the members could do for me. She told them how important my garden was to me and together they organized a group to meet us at my garden to help me plant everything. That is FAMILY. These people that I didn’t know a year ago took time out of their personal lives to help little old me. It was very humbling to say the least. I can not recommend this place enough. And if you want that FAMILY atmosphere and presence in your life, you will find it at...
Read moreI joined Crossfit CTRL in February, as part of a 6-week challenge. During Week 5, social distancing and stay-at-home directives were announced.
Despite a totally unplanned shift from in-gym to at-home programming, my experience has been really great. Better than great. Devan, owner of Crossfit CTRL, has modified each and every workout for all of his members to complete at home, varying the details based on ability and available training gear.
I've been able to make significant progress and I'm seeing improvements beyond what I expected. I joined the gym to get moving, become part of a supportive community and give myself some structure for meaningful healthy changes. I've experienced all these things and so much more. I was a little unsure about the shift to home workouts, and I worried that I might lose momentum. But instead I'm seeing significant body composition changes, improved energy, reduction in aches and pains, and my cardio endurance is wildly improved.
I feel completely supported and empowered to continue working toward my wellness goals. Devan sets aside time to check in with me (and all members) weekly. In addition to sending customized workouts several times a week, he answers all of my questions and helps encourage me to stay accountable to my goals.

Read moreJoining CrossFit CTRL is the best thing I have done for myself in years! The environment is so encouraging and supportive. There is an onboarding process that introduces you to CrossFit and the gym before you jump into your first classes. Within the first week, I felt a shift mentally. I have surprised myself in what I can do!! I joined overweight, over 40 with long term hip/ lower back problems. I am AMAZED at what I am still able to do!! The coaches are very helpful. Unlike a typical gym environment, all workouts are in a class format and the coach is with you for the whole workout. There is guidance. There are always modifications available for various abilities or injuries. It is normal to have the class cheering for one another- be it watching someone PR or if you are one of the last ones to complete a set. The positive atmosphere means so much!! In a world of crazy, a positive corner is needed.
I do think the hardest part is the first step into the building. I finally hit a low, saw those Facebook ads repeatedly show up on my feed…and pushed myself through the door. I am so happy that I did!! I only wish I had done so sooner! Come in. Talk to a coach. Meet some members and hear their experiences. Start your own CrossFit CTRL journey! Do...
