Young Spa — Local services in Falcon Heights

Young is absolutely the best! That being said, everyone else there... is disappointing. One time I was literally the only customer in the salon and Young was helping me, there were four other employees there, and none of them answered the phone once. Young had to do it. Every time. They would pretend it wasn’t ringing and ignore people when they walked in, didn’t even say hello or nod as though they acknowledged someone had entered. They all made Young do everything. Today I had an appointment and Young was sick, and when I got there they said they tried calling and no one answered. Except they didn’t call me, and I know they have the right number. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but, with my experiences here with everyone except Young, I doubt they actually tried calling any of his appointments today.

Moral of the story is, Young is great!!! And AMAZING at his job!! But, if you’re not going to him, don’t go...

Disappointing Experience and Lack of Professionalism

I had an appointment but was still made to wait over 15 minutes while the owner and another staff member watched TV. I came prepared with my design and color already picked out for a fill and pedicure, yet I was still pressured to change my nail style — not because of my preferences, but because they had clearly overbooked and were scrambling to manage.

They kept passing me around between techs, which felt disorganized and impersonal. I was treated like a new client simply because I wear wigs and switch my hair often — which should never affect the level of service I receive. The lack of communication and professionalism was honestly disrespectful.

To top it off, I was charged extra for a simple fall design that wasn’t even completed properly. This whole experience felt dismissive and unwelcoming, and I left feeling frustrated and...

Update: they've really stepped up their game! The last pedicure was the best I've ever had! Intial review: Get your eyebrows done here! They really do a great job, and it is super fast, no pain, and a reasonable price. I regularly get pedicures and my eyebrows waxed here. The eyebrows are always done well, the pedicures are not always consistent. They don't always do a good job on callouses, and I wish they just wouldn't even bother with the foot and calf massage because they are so weak it's awkward to sit through. If you get someone who is strong and paying attention it is sublime, but depending on who you get, they are often distracted by the TV when they are doing pedicures. The actual painting and trimming of the cuticles and nails are always well done with...
