I love Toppers pizza in general, but I won't go to this location. Every time I've ordered from here, something has gone very wrong. Delivery is always 40-60 minutes late, and it's only a 3 minute drive from my house. And the pizzas are poorly made. Terrible topping distribution, several inches of bare crust around the edges, skimpy sauce, randomly missing toppings, and apparently cut using the "stand 15 feet away from the pizza and just throw the blade at it" method. Size of pieces varies from 2 inches wide to about 8 inches wide.
Once, the delivery driver arrived about 45 min late, then handed me a card for free pizzas -- no explanation or apology for the late delivery. A few weeks later, when I called to order my free pizzas and tried to redeem the card, I had to talk to THREE different employees before one of them knew what I was talking about. It was like they didn't believe me that I had a voucher for two free pizzas. I had to explain what happened and describe the card to them in great detail over and over. Finally got someone who knew what I was talking about and got my pizzas ordered.
Arrived about 15-20 minutes AFTER they said the pizzas would be ready. I say "Hi, I'm the one who just called, with the free pizza card..." Dude at counter had no idea what I was talking about, but I recognized his voice and knew I had talked to him on the phone less than an hour ago. So I had to explain all that AGAIN.
Then there were 2-3 employees standing around saying they had no idea where my pizza was or what had happened to my order. They kept asking me questions about it, trying to figure it out. It sounded like they hadn't even started my order yet, so I asked if they had. They were all, "ummmm, uhhh, yeah I dunno..." I was about to re-order my pizzas when a super tall guy came out, asked what was going on, and said, "Uh, yeah, they're right here." Grabbed two pizzas from a shelf that was right behind the counter, three feet from the clueless employees the *entire time." Of course, by then they were room temperature. So I had to microwave my slices to heat them up.
One star because I like Toppers pizza a lot when it's done right. One bonus star for the tall dude and the girl on the phone who finally understood what my free pizza card was.
That was the last time I ever ordered from them, about a month ago. Never again. I'd love a mac n cheese pizza with bacon on it right now, but I'm out of delivery range for any other local Toppers.
Just order from New Fresh Wok instead. They're right next door, they deliver, it's cheap, and it's always been on time, hot, fresh,...
Read moreJust ordered for pick up. Drove from St. Paul to Falcon Heights to pick it up (it is the closest location to us and we are within their delivery zone). Got all the way home and realized they literally forgot to put a drop of sauce on one of the pizzas. Called and the first guy said they could remake it or give a refund for that one item. I said I’d like it remade because it’s our dinner, but then we will have to drive all the way back (30 minutes round trip) and the other food will get cold and that’s obviously a decent inconvenience to us for your mistake. He said they won’t deliver it despite their mistake because it wasn’t originally delivery. He also said they won’t discount anything else if the other items were made right. I said that doesn’t seem right. He said he’d talk to someone else to see if they could do anything more.
Instead, he transfers me to another guy who knew nothing and I had to re-explain the entire situation to myself. That guy says they can’t actually do ANY refund because it was part of a coupon, so I have no choice and they have to just remake it. He must have been able to tell I wasn’t thrilled, so he offered to let me speak to a manager, to which I said ok. He then said never mind, the manager is busy, we will start making your pizza. Ok……? Guess I’ll start driving, again…. Thanks. Told him guess I’ll talk to the manager when I get there. All the while the rest of our food has gotten cold and it’s getting later and later before we can actually eat our meal.
Got there and asked to talk to the manager and was told he had just left…. Awesome. Guess when he was too “busy” to talk he was just too busy getting ready to leave for the night. Ok, guess I’ll call him tomorrow and further my inconvenience on this matter some more… but wait! Now he isn’t going to be in for 3 days!! Just. Wow.
In my mind, if your order is made wrong and you have to be the one inconvenienced to get the correct food, either there should be something else done to make up for it, or it should be delivered asap. I don’t know where customer service went to die, but don’t go looking for it here.

Read moreOn Sunday 5/11 I ordered pizza for lunch the for Monday delivery at noon. At about 12:17pm and the tracking app still says "Baking" for the last 17 mins, I decided to call the store to see what was going on. First call was dropped at some point. I called again and got a hold of someone.
She was very nice and professional. I asked for an update on my order, it was supposed to be delivered at noon. She said she's looking at it now. The door dash delivery person did not have a hot bag, so they did not let him take the pizza. I asked, how long until I receive the pizza. She said in about 20-35 mins.
At this point I asked if they could refund my delivery fee if I just came to pick it up. She said yes.
They updated my order and refunded the delivery of $6.99. I asked if the tip was for Toppers or delivery driver, they said driver, so I asked for that to be removed as well.
Got back to work to eat a cold pizza (anyway, but now with a bad experience as a whole).
Pizza it's self... Probably was good, but because I was soured by my experience.. it wasn't that good. I should have just cancelled the whole order.
To be clear, I am not upset at anyone working there. They were nice and willing to remove those charges. They had signs all over their shop for drivers, requiring hot bags.
Service at 2 stars because of the delay and confusion on the delay and dropped call. The in-store service was fine.
What they could improve on is stating on their website that they don't have in house drivers. That all deliveries are done through Door Dash or whatever company. So if there are delays, customers would understand. And to have a notification on the tracking process to inform people of the delay.
Probably won't order from this location again... Unless I'm going to pick up.
Last time I ordered whole visiting my sister in Blaine and that...
