Bianka was great and I appreciate her for trying to do the right thing and put customers first. The manager (I believe his name is Chris), on the other hand, has a lot to learn about customer service and hospitality. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a patron at a movie theater. . I went with my brother and SIL to watch a Dec 31st, 11am showing of "Spider Man: No Way Home". We arrived a few minutes late because we were making sure that their kids were settled in with the babysitter. As we checked in and purchased concessions, we were told that the movie had started a little bit early. The manager clarified that it was about 10 - 15 minutes into the movie. This was not a big deal and we proceeded to the theater. . At our surprise, after an hour and a half (12:38pm), the movie had ended and we watched both end credit trailers. Obviously, the manager had lied to us as this movie is about 2.5 hours long. We left the theater and talked to Bianca. We told her that this movie was supposed to be 2.5 hours long and it's already done. We asked if we can come back and watch the first hour at the next showing which was at 1:15pm. She apologized and said that was fine. Also, to compensate for the inconvenience, she offered us 3 movie passes. We were grateful and said we will come back for the next showing after grabbing a quick bite to eat at the JITB across the way. . After returning, the manager, Chris, intercepted us as we were walking back to the theater. Chris had the audacity to ask for the compensated movie passes back because "we were watching the movie again". No, sir, we were watching the first hour of the movie that we missed because you had lied about the movie starting 10 - 15 minutes early. Come to think of it, you probably never started the 11am showing and put us in the 10am showing instead... a complete disregard for our schedule. As another reviewer mentioned, this theater is poorly managed. This manager is a prime example. . I've been to this theater a few times before, prior to it becoming "River Village Cinema is D'Place". All other visits have been pleasant. Unfortunately, this time was not. We'll see what happens if we visit this theater again. Hopefully, Chris will have better training or better yet, Bianka will have become a manager as she has a better sense of hospitality and customer service.

My first and last time coming to this cinema. My children both got pretzels they were burnt and dry, they couldn't be eaten, the popcorn timer should be adjusted with less time since everything comes out a bit burnt as well. I didn't mind the pretzels nor the popcorn, but what I did mind was that not one employee came to monitor the movie room to assure everything was okay. The lights were left ON once the movie started someone had to get up and go tell the employees that's when the lights turned off. I couldn't enjoy my movie because of a whole row of teenagers disturbing the film sitting behind me and my family they were saying we're going to be loud the whole time, they were throwing popcorn at us, I think they brought some of those TNT Pop-its, because it was a lot of loud popping everybody in the theater got up and turned around. It sounded almost like a BB gun. I had to turn around and tell the kids if they don't keep it down going to report them. I want to enjoy a movie with my family. I have not been to a theater or cinema since COVID and I am an absolute unsatisfied customer, but it's okay because I'll never be returning. There was absolutely NO ventilation in the movie room it smelled really REALLY bad. There was absolutely no AC. I entered the bathroom it was a total disaster there was no paper napkins, there was two teenage kids in the big restroom who knows what they were doing in. I had to hurry my daughter so we can get out of there. The toilets was in critical condition meanwhile all the employees were playing UNO. This is the worst experience I've ever had, Yes, The tickets are a no-brainer it's a good deal, but I rather drive further and get a good experience and fresh clean air with security available to monitor everything.

I've always loved going to the movies but I know It's becoming a dying art due to streaming but the way to beat streaming and have people pay for the experience is by having a good place for people to experience. I don't know what's happened to the management at this theater but they clearly don't care. When you first walk in expecting that smell of fresh popcorn you are slapped in the face with the stale smell of old oil and butter that seems like it's never been replaced. The bathrooms looks like they can't remember when they were last cleaned and you just are left feeling gross when you paid to see a movie you could've watch at home. PLEASE FIX THIS! CLEAN UP! I love going to the movies but I just can't spend money for this experience...

This sad theater is so unprofessional and poorly managed, that the film companies and the health department both should take some real concern!

To save money they do not open up the box office in front, forcing everyone who wants to buy a ticket to crowd into the lobby and wait in line at the snack bar to buy tickets.

They have a sign on the box office that reads come inside to buy tickets, but once you enter there are no signs or staff to let you know where to do that.

Staff not dressed in uniforms, and wearing random clothing, hats etc.

Nacho cheese was served to us cold, like right out of the refrigerator. By law hot foods are to be held at a minimum of 145f.

When I asked the manager why they are serving cold nacho cheese, she did not answer. I asked twice no answer, and no apology. I got my money back, and then I stated that since no apology, I would be calling the health department and I will be!

Auditorium was an ice cold 59f degrees smack dab in the middle of a cold winter day and although we asked the manager to please adjust the temperature, the temperature never changed during the 2.5 hours plus that we were inside.

Bathrooms were filthy dirty as well as the lobby and walkways, including the floors inside the auditorium.

Many people were coughing and sneezing and not wearing masks, and there was no effort or encouragement from this business asking people to wear face coverings, although it is mandatory at this time. Also, no organization of any kind to help people stay a safe distance from each other.

Worst part of all was the complete lack of professionalism by the ignorant incompetent manager who gave me attitude because I asked her why she was serving cold nacho cheese after she admitted she was aware that the cheese warmer was not up to temperature.

After she didn’t answer twice nor apologize and after I told her then in that case, I was a licensed food safety manager and would contact the health department, she told me to go ahead and so I will!

I hope the owners of this outdated run down has been theatre, are proud.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PURPLE PLAGUE!

By the way, I started working in the theater business at age 14 in the early 80’s and have held every position in the business right here in southern CA. And never have I seen such a gong show/circus act like I...
