Dollar General — Local services in Farmer City

This store needs to update there price labels on the shelves. Every time I check out the product rings up at a higher price. This has been going on for months. So plan on spending more when you check out then what you see on the price label. Some products don’t even have a price on them at all. I guess they figure that the customer doesn’t need to know how much something cost. I have never seen a store this unorganized on pricing. This afternoon I purchased 9 items and guess what everyone of the items rang up higher then the price label of that product. SURPRISE!!! I went to this location for the clearance event on 8/29 & Stephanie was the only worker. It took a bit of time to check out 2 overflowing carts I bought and the line ended up 5/6 people long - she was very kind, very personable, quick and efficient. She smiled and never complained. I was a little overwhelmed by the crowd, so I’m sure it was nerve wrecking for her as well. 5/5 stars. As long as she’s the manager, I’ll gladly drive the 40 min it takes to get to this...

Both Monticello snd Farmer City Illinois are dirty, understaffed, plugged isles with big rolling carts. Had to redirect my cart 3 times to get to check out. If we had another store in town I woyld NEVER shop you. Your staff is nice but since you give them no help they leave merchandise boxed everywhere, old signs and bags blowing around front door becsuse your staff is busy ringing sales.
