Customer service is pretty much non-existent. I recently had an issue with fraud charges on my card and had to get a replacement. As soon as I saw that I had missed my October payment and still needed to update my method of payment, I reached out to them via their location specific email address listed on my payment reminder email. I’d also inquired about a charge that I did not recognize, as I don’t want to send money for something that looked like a double charge of my monthly membership fee (surprise, it’s a $43 annual fee slapped on top of the already overpriced dues that I pay. Not that they labeled it on my bill so I could even know that.) they never even responded to my email even after I asked for a follow up multiple times, and just penalized me with late fees. No courtesy or acknowledgement given. Also, very greasy and predatory business practices to auto renew my annual membership to force me into another year without any kind of notification. I eventually found it buried in their novel of a contract, which I have no recollection of being mentioned when I originally signed up. Don’t do business with these people, they seem to have zero respect for their customers. I pay more for this tiny shoebox of a gym with next to no amenities than I did for LA Fitness, and I get ghosted by them on top of that? I guess it’s my fault for settling with the gym closest to where I live, which wasn’t even worth it because I hardly go anymore. Not a lot of time or energy to work out when I work 60-70 hrs a week, but I’m so relieved to know they’re benefitting from draining me of my money for an entire year while failing to do the bare minimum of responding to an email in the time frame of a week… thanks guys, what would we do...
Read moreMy wife and I have been members of Anytime Fitness for several years. The great thing about AF is that you have the convenience of working out at any of the facilities around the US. We've used the gyms in TX, IL, AL, FL. We recently moved to Farmers Branch and this location is the one closest to our house. The management of this facility, Kelly, I think her name is, is the worst I've experienced. Not just in a gym, in management of any facility of any type. Do everything you can to avoid this location, there are two others in very close proximity that I will use from now - that I suggest you do as well. They are cleaner, bigger and, have better equipment anyway. Seriously, avoid this place so your monthly rate isn't increased by $20. Because we were using that facility more often, she sent us a text about raising our membership fee $20 per month. When we declined that because we just thought that was so crazy, she deactivated our keyfob at that location. I thought the whole point of having a nationwide membership was that you just seamlessly go to each gym depending on where you are. That is, in fact the case, except for this gym. This is the only gym that is run by her though, so I guess that makes sense. I am not one who leaves bad reviews, but made an exception for this terrible experience.
