Crab King — Restaurant in Farmers Branch

My daughter went to this place for the very first time & yes it was pricey, with 2 separate orders, the problem comes in where the first item that was given was NOT placed with the order, nor was it rung up, etoufee ,yet the cashier repeated the order before completion. I take part in this mishap for not checking thoroughly. By the time we recognized the error, they were closed, didn’t answer phone. We were not pleased with the gumbo, it was watery & full of celery & about 8 small shrimps(yes we counted). The fish basket, the fish was half done, could’ve floated in water, & the Philly cheese steak, meat was piled thick, but rubbery, which looked like a smidget of cheese(person ended up throwing it out😒) Also, an overwhelming amount of fries on the chicken tender dinner, both of those orders was good, but with the amount of money we Spent, the quality of food should’ve been better. NOT HAPPY AT ALL, we were visiting...

Save your time and money...not worth it!

We ordered 5 lemon pepper wings and a shrimp/swai catfish basket with fries. Wings Positive: The seasoning was good. Negative: Small and over cooked.

Basket Positive: fries/hush puppies were good. Negative: shrimp were not restaurant quality. It was as if it came from a frozen box at your local grocery store. The swai catfish have a weird texture and taste. It's a frozen fish that can't be purchased fresh (goggle search on the fish type). It was as if it was bought again at your local grocery store. Like a bag of individual wrapped fish with that weird preservative taste. The tart sauce was gross.

Positive: restaurant was clean and cashier was nice. Negative: poor quality food and overcooked

Crab King Seafood & Burger never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I always get the Special 7, and it’s absolutely amazing every single time! The portions are generous, the seafood is seasoned just right, and I even take more to go so I can enjoy it later.

Melissa was incredible—super attentive, friendly, and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed and provided top-notch service. It’s always a pleasure coming here, and I love bringing my friends so they can enjoy it just as much as I do.
