We had a birthday party here. It's a country town and we were under the onion shed. I've only been one time. There was a nice breeze and it's right next to a railroad track, which was entertaining for my 3 year old grandson who happen to just love trains. Only one train passed, but he got to see it up close. Here's the thing, it was peaceful, but it was in a town that is not racially diverse, so certain races may be skeptical. But don't be, give them a chance. This was a nice park in their downtown area. I liked it......so much I gave them 5 stars. Read moreOne does have to appreciate how the town of Farmersville has embraced, preserved, and utilized this loading dock as a symbol of the agribusiness/commerce that established the area.
My particular experience is as the "Doc of Rock," the electric bassist for the Blandelles. As a professional musician, I have found the Farmersville Chamber of Commerce and City Manager's staff to be friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. This group of hard-working people has become quite adept at putting on public events and festivals.
When there is not a community event taking place, there is a picnic area, park, and hiking (rails to trails) trailhead...

This venue has been a great community focus for many things though I mostly know it as the registration point for a bicycle race at the start of the NETT (Northeast Texas Trail) which is a rails to trails project for those outdoorsy lovin' folk.
