I've had a fantastic experience with the facility, management and staff of this location. I have visited many gyms of the ATF brand and others, this is absolutely my favorite. This is not a crowded location, I have literally NEVER had a delay in access to a squat rack/ bench, which is my number one concern and an absolutely unparalleled perk for me here. I have visited at peak hours (5-7) afternoon, weekend and very late night. The primary manager of the location (Alex) is welcoming, responsive to my questions, an athlete himself and engages with the guests throughout the day. He and other ATF staff are rarely sequestered away, but are on the floor with us working out, advising and being generally fantastic. The trainer I work with (Jesse) is knowledgeable in what I find to be a stunning breadth of fitness pursuits; he not only is an expert at team sports that he has competed and trained others in, but teaches actual YOGA classes, works with clients of all ages and modifies plans to fit individual and trains several powerlifters with ease. I was concerned that a non-powerlifter athlete would attempt to steer me in other directions or not have the detailed anatomy/physiology education I seek in a coach- this concern is a nonissue with Jessie. The bathrooms are on par or better than any other gym I've been in. This branch would be well-supported to receive the upgraded gadgets some larger locations have (fancy water thing, fancy body scanner), but they don't lack anything I use. Bathrooms are individual with "real" doors and are genderless design, so you never have the problem of ten women in a line with an empty men's room. It is necessary to wear shower shoes like everywhere else, bring the soap in case its empty or broken, and you won't have any problems! I would always like to see more women and diversity in the staff, but these guys have all been fantastic and i feel safe around them. In unstaffed hours, I feel like the elevator music selection could use an upgrade, but I doubt that my personal preferences of cardi b, eminem and DMX would meet the...
Read moreI completely agree with the other reviews. Very dishonest management. As a college student I explained to the manager that I would only be around for 4 months in the summer, and I would want to cancel or pause my membership while I was away at school. Mike agreed that I would be able to pause my payments when I left for school September - December. I noticed they continued to charge me, so I emailed him to remind him of our agreement. Regardless, the money hungry gym continued to charge me although I was out of the state.
As a college student without a job...continuing to pay $50 each month really adds up. After graduating college and beginning to pay off my student debt, I learned another debt was building. Instead of trying to help fix the mistake they just sent my balance to a very rude collection agency which harassed me with calls as I worked to support myself. I would not wish this feeling upon my worst enemy. This company is extremely manipulative, and I would go to the ends of this earth to have them out of business for good. Farmington is a nice town and businesses like this have no good intentions for our residents.
I am disgusted by the way I was treated. Their lack of accountability and little disregard for their current customer was disheartening. I have been raised to always pay my dues so of course I have paid my balance. When you are a young adult fresh out of college, raising you little cousin, paying rent, serving the community, studying for you Series 7 and working on your professional development that $300 was a lot. Life was almost unbearable saving that extra money each week to pay back my unused gym membership.
I did contemplate if I could keep going everyday-- it was my little sweet cousin that kept me going. Walking her to the bus stop every morning kept me alive. Happy I am here still to write this. I am doing well now, please no worries!! I was able to pay off my wrongfully owed debt.
My sister gave the Farmington Anytime Fitness my number for some promotion about a year ago and since, despite me politely asking them to please take me off their calling list and having my sister go down in person, I have still received multiple texts and calls since. Normally I'd just deal with it, however, today a man (not a robot) from Anytime Fitness called and informed me that I "missed my appointment" and asked when to reschedule, to which I nicely informed him that I never HAD an appointment and that I've been asking for months to get off the call list and that I'd appreciate if he could do so. His reply was to COMPLETELY IGNORE what I just said and ask if he could reschedule my appointment for the next day. I hung up. IMMEDIATELY he calls me back, so I answer to see if it was the same dude. It was. So I hang up. Then he calls back AGAIN as soon as I do. I ignore the call. THEN HE CALLS RIGHT BACK.
I don't understand why all of a sudden they decided to harrass me by calling 5 times in a row? It's rude, inappropriate, and inconvenient. Harassing me isn't going to convince me to join your cult of a gym.
EDIT They proceeded to TEXT me the next day before I blocked that...
