We love Infinity! My pre-teen goes here. The dojo is very clean and open, and even the sound quality is great! The instructors are all incredibly talented (and fun to watch! who needs a phone), and so encouraging with the kids. Tyler Shaub is down to earth, and teaches the children not just about karate, but about life. About doing your best no matter what. About being a good person. About being strong. Respect. Confidence. All that good stuff that sounds like "wah wah wah" when the parents say it. The kids definitely listen in class!
All the instructors challenge the kids in different ways - and I do mean challenge! They all have different styles, but they all share the same enthusiasm for teaching, and all of them kick butt. The kids do exercise routines as well as learning karate forms and practicing them. They have a YouTube channel available to review the forms as well.
This is a great dojo to look into. The first class is free, so it is worth a shot! My son tried it and he wanted to return (which for him was really unusual). Now I'm jealous I'm not taking classes (too many kids, too...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMaster Tyler is fantastic! Our 6 year old son absolutely LOVES going to ākarate classā at Infinity, and 90% of that love for class is because of Master Tyler. Our son just responds so well to the discipline and respect he is taught by Master Tyler that he aims to perfect moves so he will be impressed:) I mean, our son obviously loves the sweet karate moves heās learned too, but the structure of class is so well done that our son doesnāt realize heās learning more than just chops and kicks; to him, heās just having fun. You can see Master Tylerās passion for martial arts shine through when he is teachingāno matter what age level. Our son likes to stick around after his Kinder Kicker class on Wednesday to watch the Black Belt class. Our son especially loves when Master Tyler, Black Belt Alex, and Black Belt Leslie ādo cool tricksā during their class. He looks up to them in awe, but knows that if he keeps practicing, he too can do what they do some day; weāre glad our son has such positive role models. The other 10%? Being better than daddy at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy 4 year old has been in Little Kickers for about a month now to help him with his confidence, respect for adults, and to just burn some of that crazy energy out. Infinity has been a godsend! My son is often extremely shy when we get there and he doesnāt want to participate. His teachers are so patient with him and take that extra time to help coax him into joining and by the end heās begging not to leave. I wish classes were every day so I could accommodate his constant begging to go to āninja school!ā There was an incident one class where my son was reprimanded for not being respectful, and he didnāt want to come back. Two classes later he told Mr. Alex that he didnāt want to come anymore, and he took the time to sit with him and give him a pep talk, tell him what a good job heās been doing and how to avoid getting in trouble in the future. The next day there was no class and my son was so upset he couldnāt go! All the instructors are incredible, but Mr. Alex has won my anxious little boy over. Iām so glad weāre part of...
