We started with Newaza 2.5 years ago and so happy we did! The instructors possess extensive knowledge and organize fun drills. What stands out the most is the individualized teaching approach towards each student, tailoring their methods to suit the unique needs and learning styles of every student to ensure each reach full potential.

It is evident that cleanliness and hygiene are top priorities for this business, which is essential for creating a conducive learning environment. The thoughtfulness of the staff is also evident through their coordinated events for kids. My boys absolutely love the member NERF battle/movie nights and the seasonally themed graduations or parties. These activities not only make learning fun but also foster a sense of community and excitement among the students.

Newaza's class schedule, training structure, and quarterly graduations (for kids) create a nice balance that promotes self-discipline and instills the importance of hard work and dedication. In addition to self-defense skills, Newaza has helped both of my boys develop a sense of confidence. Particularly for my older son, the skills learned have allowed him to overcome bullying, and empowered him to more confidently navigate his daily life. My son and I have trained at Newaza for several years. I can’t say enough positive things about this Jiu Jitsu academy. The training is lead by a world class BJJ blackbelt (Rogerio) who empowers you to step out of your comfort zone and be the best you can be. This place has a true family environment where everyone helps each other to improve both on and off the mats.
