We purchased a side-by-side great price, until we found out they were not honest. They have in there warranty, that ice makers are not covered. We saved up for a long time & was excited to save some money & time & we could finally own a side-by-side with water & ice maker dispenser. Got it home got it plugged in & ready to go....Hmmm the light doesn't work in the freezer. Put in a new one, it worked. for 2 sec. & blew out. noticed no lights or anything worked for Ice maker, water dispenser. Called them checked all they said to check, nothing worked. They were closing so i said i will work on it to see if i can figure out the problem. With in an hour i kept smelling something burning, like wire burning smell. I touched the control panel and all the lights flickered then , now a big smell of burning wires... Unplugged it right away... Called them the next day. No problem we will refund your money. Mind you we did all the work taking it home 7 back to avoid a fee for them to move it. Get there my husband lost his balance & carefully let the frig. go on it back. Told him to wait i will get help. Now we are getting scolded that the frigs. are not to be laid down it voids the warranty. I over heard the girl tell the worker to check it out & see if the customer can be at blame. REALLY... My home could have been burnt down & lives were at risk. They took out the computer board for the ice/water dispenser. It was what was smoking. Yep we got stuck with it... No they did not give our money back....Not a...
Read moreI'm enrolled in the consumers energy appliance repair program, and our washer is acting up. They contracted the job out to CRC appliance repair services. And 3 visits later our washer is in a worse condition then before anyone even looked at it. The first technician came out and was at our home for less then 2 mins and told us that the issue was because we were using to much soap. (We barley use any in our machine) but ok fine I said. Let's see what happens when I run the machine without any soap or clothes in the machine. A 40 min cycle still took 2.5 hours to complete. They came back out and changed the controller board. Ran a cycle of clothes and then received a new error code. Called back and they said that it's now a temperature sensor that went bad. And that they had to order the part. Ok, now our dirty clothes are just getting more and more. The part came the tech installed it, and now our washer is leaking water like crazy. Our whole laundry room is cover in water. If you're looking for an appliance repair company, I would personally scroll...
Read moreBeware that you are buying a used appliance that's briefly tested in front of you. Which means no one can really guarantee how long it will work for. I bought a gas dryer that's has a digital display for settings. This only has a 30 day warranty. I've already had one visit from the company to fix one problem. Just a few days past the warranty expiring, the dryer stopped working. Which is problem number 2.Now The timer jumps from 55 minutes down to 1 and then turns off, over and over preventing the clothes from drying. We have tore it apart and cleaned it well making no difference. Calling for help and they want more money to come look at it. They are nice people and this is a nice idea, but not reliable and we cannot afford to poor more money into a used half working appliance. Obviously there are reasons people sell off their "working" items. It might work for that 30-second test in the store but that doesn't mean anything for...
