Mott is a great college to go to! Just like a lot of colleges, college is what you make it. I am thankful that Mott is close to where I live at, I have enjoyed my entire time at Mott. Not only does Mott offer a lot of different programs that you can purse fot your associates degree, but Mott also offers programs that you can study while transferring the credits to other universities, which enables you to pursue your higher education. The teachers that I have had at Mott for the most part have been exceptional, and they have taught me a lot. The tuition rate is very affordable, they have people there that you can talk to if you have any questions, the advisors and counselors are also very professional and answer any questions. I decided to get my criminal justice degree from Mott, and I'm going to graduate from Ferris State University with my bachelor's degree in criminal justice while taking the classes at Mott's Flint campus. I suggest that people definitely look into the 3+1 program this is the route that I decided to go. It has saved me a ton of money and I get still get to stay close to home, some of the Mott teachers teach in the ferris program to, which is also a plus, and most importantly I get...
Read moreI LOVE my school!!!!!!!!!!! The tuition is practically free compared to Baker which is also in the area.. The school has a good reputation for those that have heard about it. My instructors are wonderful people who are under paid but still remain passionate about the work they do, and the campus is small enough to where you can't get lost and if you need to get from the Gorman building to the Mott Memorial Building in 10 minutes, you'll have enough time to make it to class! I can't express how much I enjoy being a student there, I've met some amazing people and did I mention the degree programs available?! If you're looking to transfer, 3+1 is the way to go, get in and out in 3 years instead of 2, but you'll earn credits towards a BA while you're at Mott! For a mother that works a part time job, it's convenient. Did I mention cheap?! It's worth the money and with financial aid paying 80% of my tuition, I personally spent $942 out of pocket for 5 semesters!!! Did I say 5? that's one whole year PLUS one semester! and I'm paying out-of-district tuition prices! I LOVE my...
Read moreSo I am a veteran and have to go through the veteran department at Mott. I planned my classes online and they held them for me and told me I had to go to an advisor to make sure my classes match the degree I’m going for. They said they were held and I asked multiple times and she said all I have to do is go to an advisor. I waited there to see an advisor. I met with the advisor they said my classes matched my degree I’m going for. I asked if I needed to go back to Veteran Services and she said nope everything was good to go. I receive a call today stating why I didn’t hold my classes. No one knows what’s going on. Can’t get a hold of anyone and of course when I do get a hold of someone they said there’s nothing that can be done and to reregister for classes and now the classes that I registered for are full. Absolutely over this school. Tired of wasting my G.I. Bill at Mott Community College. Choose another school unless you want to be...
