We used a Michigan Activity Pass, a program available through Public Libraries where you can pay for one ticket, in this case an adult non-resident ticket for $6, and get the second one for free so essentially 50% off. The planetarium was huge inside with nice ambient music playing before the show followed by intervals of space-related trivia questions projected onto the screen. The program we watched was the daily 'Skies over Michigan' presentation given at 3PM. It started out in the usual format of showing what is currently going on in our skies and then moving along chronologically with what to expect in the coming months. Finally the program wrapped up with a a 3D 'roller coaster' experience which was essentially a 3D FPV rendering of a roller coaster track set upon a backdrop of primarily Jupiter. Overall it was a nice visit!

Quality retro gem worth every single penny of public and private funds to keep open! Wonderful place for humans of all ages. The roller coaster ride and light shows are sure to give you a thrill. The music is on point and adds to the full body experience. Remember, mind over matter! Informative host and always beyond helpful friendly staff. Never had a bad experiences in generations of visits. Bathrooms are always clean and dig the vintage vibe! Safe family friendly atmosphere. Masks worn and spaced seating. Great movies! Awesome rock display now in lobby area. Lots of magical wall art throughout facility. Awesome gift shop with reasonable prices. Purchase tickets online. 5 star is an understatement!

Family favorite! Longway has everything a space cadet could want it's the perfect way to start or end a day enjoying what flint has to offer. Genesee country residents pay like 3$ a show and they have laser shows for kids and adults some educational and others just fun. Get there early and find all the hidden objects the painter put into his mural or check out the activity room where you can do crafts with the Lil aliens before or after the show or just look at the overpriced space toys your space ball kids are shur to want. And don't forget the astronaut ice cream SpaceLord and you will be out of this world....

Hi Randy,

Thank you for sending this over. I do have a couple questions. Were you just doing the ceremony or were you also hosting the reception there as well? Once I have that in I can call you and grab the down payment.

Thank you, Olivia

Hello Crescenda,

I am so excited to hear this and I very much look forward to working with you. What time will you be coming in on Friday or will we be doing the deposit over the phone? I just want to make sure I am available.

Have a great day! Olivia Hello Olivia,

Randy and I would like reserve the Planetarium for August 10, 2019. I will pay my half of the down payment on Friday, September 14, 2018. I do believe it is a 200.00 down payment correct?

Thank you and I look forward to working with you over the next year!

Olivia Fri, Sep 14, 1:26 PM to me

Hi there! I am at a different building right now. Is it possible I can call you back in about an hour? Also did you have a chance to fill out that contract? I’ll also need that before I can get your down payment Greetings Olivia, I hope this email finds you well. This is a follow-up to our phone conversation regarding the wedding date for Randy and myself; Saturday, August 10, 2018.

Per our conversation, you were waiting on the outcome of a meeting with your director regarding us being able to solidify the 10th of August, as the date due to a prior engagement already scheduled at Longway Planetarium.

Please let us know the current status of the decision on whether or not that date is still an option for us. We are in the process of selecting vendors for the wedding and reception, so we need to have an answer by the COB on Friday, September 28, 2018. Thanks for advocating for this date for us!

To whoever responded to this email, please feel free to call me to gain the full details of the emails. You were miss informed and are in breach of a contract that clearly states 8/10/19. Olivia was told by the manager to get us to...

My mother and I were genuinely excited to attend the "Skies Over Michigan" show at the planetarium on Sunday, August 3rd at 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and not at all what was advertised.

We were two of approximately 15 attendees, and had we known the 30-minute presentation would be focused almost entirely on Mythology—with little to no relevance to Michigan’s night sky—we would not have attended.

The presenter began by saying, “You’re in for a treat, I’m studying Mythology,” which immediately signaled a shift away from what we expected. She briefly pointed out the moon and mentioned a few stars—two of which she admitted she didn’t know the names of—before diving into an extended discussion on constellations like Hercules and concepts like Zenith. These might be interesting in another context, but they had little to do with what was promoted as a “Skies Over Michigan” experience.

What we received was not a guided tour of Michigan's sky or a localized astronomy show, but instead a Mythology lecture, which felt misaligned and frankly misleading. I paid $20 for my mother and me to attend something that sounded regionally specific and educational about the Michigan sky—not a Mythology enthusiast’s personal presentation.

As we were exiting, I asked what time will the Sky's over Michigan show starts and the staff said that what we just experienced, was the Sky's over Michigan. I responded with, that was not a Michigan sky experience but a Mythology lecture. The staff said, "it is up to the presenter discretion is what's included in the lecture." I let her know that perhaps the title should be changed due to misleading information and I was offered 2 free passes for a future visit, which I declined as we are hesitant on returning. So...

Came to the Stars show today. Very nice. Enjoy coming to the Planetarium for shows, we bring family from out of town. Everyone has always enjoyed the shows. Although, today was a little disappointing. There were 2 Mother's there today with small children, they allowed their 2 small children to talk and act out loudly during the whole show. Never tryed to quite them. It was very distracting, had a hard time listening and enjoying the experience. I believe the show was rated 8+. Why allow 3 and 4 year olds into a show with that rating? When your employee was doing her narration of the sky before the show started the kids were out of control. Everyone seated around us was very upset and Schussing them. Just wanted to bring it to your attention. We enjoy coming to the Planetarium and spend and donate money very often. Many people were unhappy today over...
