Shawn Kizer is the cream of the crop when it comes to a tattoo artist. He has a light and steady hand and his line work is superb. He truly cares what his work looks like and takes the time to make it perfect. I have 6 tattoos from various artists and this one was definitely the best. My husband and I got matching tattoos and he let me pick them out. This was his very first tattoo ever so of course it was fitting that I choose a 5 hour peice. Ooops... Shawn was great with making him feel comfortable, he even took his shoes off to help my husband not feel so embarrassed because he came in there with some stinky feet lol. He was very professional and fun to talk to. He gave us great and clear instructions as well as answered a question for my husband a few days later very quickly. I would highly recommend him for any tattoo but definitely if you are wanting great line work and an original design. My tattoo Virgin husband sat through a 5 hour tattoo and is already planning his next by Shawn. I will never use...

My first time ever to visit a place like this. I will say that it had a very comfortable atmosphere and all the people were 10 plus in professionalism and friendliness. Who could ask for better than that? Blaze did a nose piercing for me and I couldn't be happier. I am 69 years old and this was my first on anything like this. I have never had a tatoo and probably will never, but I saw a lot of beautiful tatoo work while I was there. The lady at the front was the nicest, sweetest and professional person I have had the pleasure to meet. They all made me feel very comfortable. Never having been at a place like this, I didn't know what to expect. And the owner and his wife, Candace, were so nice as well. EVERYONE WAS WONDERFUL. So any ladies or gentlemen needing anything in this line of work, give them a chance. Look at the reviews. These professional people know what they are doing. Went in October for a nose piercing and tattoo and let me say Izzy done a great job on my tattoo and Matt done a great job on my nose piercing , then took my niece last Saturday to get her septum done and had hers and mine done by Skylar and Izzy and they done such a wonderful job on both of ours, and Skylar and Chelsea who is also a very sweet person , helped me pick out a new nose ring and gave me some suggestions since I was getting it changed ! Have to say I definitely recommend North Alabama Ink for all your tattoo and piercings, because they have a fun , friendly , comfortable and very professional atmosphere , and have become my favorite shop and every one of their artists and piercers are very nice and makes you feel completely welcomed and already thinking about another tattoo idea ! ❤️

Edited to add : my picture of the tattoo now after it has healed, Septum had done last Saturday and the nose piercing was after it was done...
