My wife and I started renting in 11/23, after selling our home in nearby Madison, NJ. We love everything about The Ave: the people working here , the layout of our apartment, the gym, the available conference rooms, the grounds—everything. Also, the entire place is always immaculately clean. Today, Franco and Jorge from maintenance fixed our bedroom shades after my wife had a little “mishap” opening them. Franco & Jorge as always friendly and helpful, as are the rest of the maintenance crew: Olman, Luis and Omar. I was sad when we sold our Madison home. But now, I love The Ave so much, I wish we would have moved-in much sooner.
An update: 04/23/25. My wife and I are now midway through our second year renting an apartment at the AVE. The longer we’ve been here, the more we love it. We love our apartment, the many amenities, and the way the entire property is always beautifully maintained. And then there is the staff. To us, the staff has become like family. Four weeks ago, I had major spinal surgery. The staff always asks how I’m doing, & they try to help in more ways than I can fit in this review. Take Amy at resident services. A relative of Amy’s had the same surgery in January. Amy shared her relative’s experience to provide me with both aid and encouragement—before and after my surgery. She also provided me with her relative’s walker, cane, etc. Amy is a saint; one who is also great at her job. Then there is Marek, also from resident services. Since my surgery, when Marek finishes her overnight shift, she drops-off my morning newspapers. She’s another saint. How about Megan, who helped us sign our initial and renewed lease? The woman couldn’t be nicer, or more helpful. (As is my habit, I give people I like nicknames. So, Megan is “Megan Thee Lessor.”) Speaking of nicknames, Franco from maintenance took care of some things in our apartment earlier this week. What a great guy. I gave him the nickname, “Don Ciccio,” from the Godfather Part 2. Speaking of maintenance people, “Herman” is a relatively new addition. What a kind, cheerful guy. He continuously asks about my health. I again have to mention Luis, Omar & Olman from maintenance. All of these guys are my buddies. And then there’s Chelsea at resident services. The longer we know her, the more we recognize how kind, friendly & great Chelsea is at her job. Finally, there are Alexa and Heidi—thanks for your roles in managing and administering the AVE, and helping to make it a great place in lives. Thanks also for your friendliness...
Read moreI was a resident here from October of 2023 until March 1, 2024 due to my home being renovated and this is where my home owners insurance company placed me. The day I arrived everyone was extremely nice before the lease was signed. After the lease was signed I was treated very differently than other guests. It was painfully obvious. I’m writing this review because although I was informed from Timothy C that I would be receiving a survey shortly after my departure I have never received one, even after two emails to him requesting same he chose not to even respond. So here we are. I feel I was discriminated against from several of the office staff, particularly Maria R. She greeted me the first morning of my stay to what I thought was an exchange of pleasantries to quickly realize she was just rude and unkind. After that interaction I never saw her again. Was never asked once in 5 months by anyone at this community if I needed anything or how my stay was going after being displaced from my home. Housekeeping never showed up to clean my suite in December and when I reached out as to why I was told I turned them away. When I emailed Maria explaining this was untrue I received a very condescending response almost as if it was my fault and not her teams. Instead of finding a way to rectify it she simply never answered my email. And any questions I had to her after that were met with very curt responses. No one should ever be made to feel the way I felt staying here for 5 months. Almost 6 thousand dollars a month to feel unwelcome. If I had to do it all over again I would have stayed somewhere where I was appreciated and made to feel like I belonged. The biggest reason I stayed is that my dogs were extremely happy here and that’s all I focused on. The office staff seems to have this self righteous attitude about them. I would walk into events that took place in the cafe to be met with unwelcoming stares…unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I work in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and expected so much more from this community. People need to be treated like they matter, because they do. A little kindness goes a very long way and Unfortunately this was not how I was treated at The Ave in...
Read moreThis place truly feels like home…it’s a 5 star apartment / hotel!
It’s our fifth year coming back to this wonderful short or long term rental complex.
Management is outstanding, from Thomas the GM of the entire AVE Brand. The top management and the entire full time staff is beyond gracious. Way to many names to mention….This is way beyond the hospitality of any Four Seasons Hotels we’ve stayed at through the years. There are truly to many levels of staff to mention by name. Everyone who works here seems to care if you enjoyed your stay. …“Extremely caring”…A rare find. Everyone greets you with a smile, they actually ran to the front door to greet us again. This level of hospitality continues for your entire stay. Whether it is long or short term, the hospitality is a 10. Not one sour apple in the crew. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Here’s to Frank Peralta and George who will fix anything ⭐️⭐️✨
The maintenance/engineering team will fix any little item from a wall scratch to paint hallways once a week, to even polishing the the beautiful marble floors so the entire place always will look brand new.
You wonder what makes this team tick, fixing, cleaning, helping you carry packages. No one has there hand out!
Again, way too many personnel to mention. The front office staff is uniquely chosen By Thomas who definitely has a point of view of who should represent his efforts to keep this place in 5-star apartment/hotel style living. The employee's graciousness is contagious.
I am in the hospitality business now and I’m jealous on how the AVE Florham Park keeps the quality of their staff in these times.
Again from Thomas to Alexa, Ashley, Maria, Heidi, Megan and Chealse, Tim, who is beyond caring and Jerry who would sing for you if asked!!!! This place is the best secret in the Tri-State area. How can I write a better review than this. By the way, I wanted to keep this a selfish...
