Lifetime is a great place for your workout but with some room for improvement.
I have been a member for over 2 years. This facility offers a variety of equipment, classes, and a playroom for kids. However, many skilled trainers have left this location due to poor management. I personally had a disappointing experience with Jason Montgomery. He displayed a lack of professionalism, failed to address or resolve our account issue in a timely manner, and, when confronted face-to-face, was rude and disrespectful. His approach was unhelpful, and I hope he improves his attitude in the future.
POSITIVES: There are a few fantastic personal and group class trainers, but choose them wisely. Many trainers are new and have only 6-8 weeks (60 hours) of training, which is often insufficient for professional-level training. To avoid disappointment and waisted time and money, select your personal trainers carefully.
Personal Trainers: Miles S: Excellent for bodybuilding and powerlifting. David Owen: One of the most knowledgeable trainers, especially for post-injury sessions. He ensures proper technique to prevent further injuries. Sophia C: Fantastic for personal Pilates. I also appreciate all your yoga instructors.
Group Trainers: Karen H: One of the best group trainers youâll ever meet in your life! She leads and guides a group of 40 with clarity, while maintaining a fit, professional and stunning presence. I also love that she encourages us to do our best at each of her classes. It speak volume when you see other Lifetime trainers attending her classes as well. Her choice of music, exercises, and pace is impeccable. She is truly a GEM at this place, please ADD MORE CLASSES WITH KAREN H! Thank you, Karen, for being a role model to many of us.
CONS: Crowded: The gym accepts too many members, leading to overcrowding, especially during peak hours and weekends. The family room and changing areas are inadequate for the number of members, a situation likely to worsen with the new apartment complex across the street. Cleanliness: The equipment and floors, particularly in Studio 1, Studio 2, and the yoga studio, are consistently dirty. Itâs unacceptable to arrive at a class and find the floors filthy, forcing members to clean before using the space. Cleaning staff should ensure thorough cleaning at least once a week, including equipment. Seeing piles of hair and debris on equipment is gross and should not happen at such a high-priced gym. I stopped using jacuzzi and sauna due to the same cleanliness reasons. It seems that young cleaning staff may lack proper training and often use their phones for person use during working hours. This contributes to the persistently dirty environment. Please address these issues by improving hiring practices and providing adequate training to your...

This place used to be a decent center, but over time, it has become overpriced and poorly maintained. With little local competition, management seems to be getting greedier, cutting corners while increasing fees.
The Good: â Convenient location â Easy to access. â Kids' room â Helpful for parents. â Wide selection of equipment â Plenty of options for workouts. â Large indoor and outdoor pools â A nice feature when available.
The Bad: â Overcrowded classes â Nearly always full, requiring registration weeks in advance. â Frequent sauna & hot tub issues â The outdoor hot tub has been intermittently broken for months, sometimes out of service for weeks. â Aggressive food and other ads on gym TVs â Unavoidable if your treadmill faces the screen, making workouts feel like an infomercial. â Dirty & broken lockers â Maintenance is clearly lacking. â Pools often reserved for classes â As a regular member, you frequently lose access. â Summer pool overcrowding â Packed to the point of being unusable. â Now charging for pickleball rackets â Previously free for members, now $5â10 to rent cheap equipment. â Predatory membership pause policy â You must request a pause 30 days in advance, and the process is deliberately misleading. First, they ask for a reactivation date, then inform you the pause starts 30 days laterâensuring they squeeze every last dollar from traveling members.
Final Verdict: Unless you have no other options, this gym isnât worth the high cost. The declining quality, nickel-and-diming tactics, and poor management make it hard to recommend.
Update â +1 Star for Management Engagement and Some Improvements
Adding a star for management reaching out and making a visible effort to address some of my concerns. Several broken lockers have been repaired, though many still show signs of wear. I also appreciate the noticeable improvement in the quality of customer support â staff seem more responsive and willing to help.
That said, the growing crowding issue hasnât improved, and many of the core frustrations around space usage and access still remain. While itâs encouraging to see some steps in the right direction, thereâs still work to be done for this location to feel like a truly premium gym...
Read moreNot my cup of tea. Signed up for the âfree passâ that they advertise so thoroughly and took my retired friend here to see if she might want to become a member. We went on Memorial Day and the place was packed. We got a tour of the gym from Desiree Alferes, the account manager, who seemed nice enough at the time, despite having to smell her lack of hygiene unmistakably coming from her rear (so embarrassing) during the tour. The yoga room was overcrowded and smelled like feet, and during the hour class we only went from seated to laying on our backs (and repeat). As we were leaving, I got a hard no on the review from my friend, and I was feeling the same way. I instantly started receiving unauthorized promotional emails, of which I unsubscribed from (no big deal, right?) To my surprise, I received a very aggressive email from Desiree Alferes. See below. âHi Nikki I am a little confused as to why you blocked our emails. You reached out to us to come use the club. You came in, and I went to call and was declined, then our company email came back. Why did you come to the club if you were going to not at least follow up with me in regards to your interest. I have removed you as you clearly are not interested but it would have been appreciated yesterday when I spent an hour showing you around to simply tell me you were not interested. In the future it is $40.00 for a day passâ
Expectations of follow-up or loyalty were not discussed during âsign upâ. To be honest I just told the lady what day I wanted to check out the club. What a huge misunderstanding, apparently. Iâve never been told off by a manager as my follow up email to an establishment. Iâm pretty shocked that this type of behavior and unprofessionalism is representing this business. I wouldnât have taken the whole âfreeâ scheme had I known I would be treated this way, and honestly Iâm pretty embarrassed that this was my friends first impression of what a gym and a yoga class was all about.
Hopefully communication of expectations, etiquette of follow up emails, and professionalism of management can be improved in the future. I wonât be...
