Nixtaco Folsom — Restaurant in Folsom

Way Too Loud.. I guess the design of this location made the noise carry very loudly throughout the restaurant. Difficult to hear each other seated closely across the table from each other also hard to hear the servers when they came to place the orders and wait on us. Our server started off good but, we had to wave and wait for everything we needed throughout the night. A couple requests took a long time to come. Food was very flavorful and fresh but, I really expected more vegan options. There was a taco I was looking forward to trying & checked the menu in advance of our visit but, it was not available in the restaurant. The drinks were pretty strong. Last thing that wasn't so great was the cost. I think we paid close to $60 each for 3 street size tacos, 1 drink each and 1 dessert. We felt that the restaurant was overpriced for what...

Ate at the roseville location about 8 months ago. Great tacos. Was excited to see their new venture, Pedregal in Folsom, ate there, but it sadly closed. Now a Nixtaco location in Folsom. Same menu as Roseville with a few carry-overs from Pedregal, but wow…. $7-8-9 tacos????? For real now…. That’s some 75% increase from when I ate at Roseville. They blue corn tortillas are phenomenal, but i still have the same issue with the tortilla chips they serve with their (delicious) salsas… The tortilla chips I swear taste like kirkland tortilla chips. I have no clue why they don’t make their own chips from the blue corn tortilla.. or if they do, why are their tortilla chips so boring. Expensive tacos. Expensive cocktails.. $18-20… I liked the food but not...

Tacos were amazing. The only taco that was a little weird was the lamb taco it tasted like a cough drop but the other tacos were so good. We ordered the birria taco it was the best I have had! The chicharron taco was so flavorful. The short rib barboca taco was also amazing. We tried the fried chicken taco and it was amazing and not as hot as they make it seem. Last but not least I tried the Rajas con queso taco and it was different but good. These are one of a kind tacos. I will definitely be back. I also want to say that the hostess at the front was very nice and enthusiastic. It was a young blonde white girl very welcoming. The ambiance is very lively and seemed clean....
