Two stars were docked for the sole reason of the main woman working there and just having a jerkish / negative /annoyed attitude the whole time. When it comes to kids and cards, you'd think she be a tad nicer and more optimistic. We asked to see one of the pokemon box sets and they were giving the vibe of not letting us see it and would rather just tell us what was in it...When it comes to kids buying things, especially cards, they will more likely be sold on the visual aspect...not verbal facts. My last complaint is for them to make price tags more visible. Some things are bold and visibly priced, but most items are just the small faint sticker tags. When standing behind the counter and having everything 10 feet up high, it makes it really hard to see. Everytime we asked about price or contents in the box/package, she just seemed annoyed.
I've been supporting Chimera Hobby Shop for years, but I feel they could use a re-vamp in the customer service category.
Overall, the new store location is nice. Selection is great as always. Prices are competitive which is understandable in this current card...
Read moreGreat place to go for many of your favorite hobbies and collectibles. They have a great staff that are pretty knowledgeable and always glad to help. They meet my expectations far beyond what I usually do from other stores I have been at. This store is a great store to definitely visit. The place is much bigger than what it seems from the outside and very clean. They got a great setup for people to come and join their card game tournaments. They have some awesome comfy chairs to relax in while you play while having plenty of arm space and the tables you play on look amazing! You are missing out if you haven't checked it out yet! And for some of you that are having trouble finding some pokemon, yugi-oh, or magic the gathering booster packs or boxes, this is the place to place your bet that they got something you just might be looking for or expectedly to find. Great staff, great products, great store, what could you possibly ask for more? Don't wait, go and check it out for yourself and experience it in person! 👍 shout out to Austin for the recommendation to follow their Facebook page...
Read moreVery cluttered. Front of store appears like nursery or a daycare with stuffed animals on the floor, toddlers toys, coloring books, etc. Countertops are piled with boxes on them and in front and behind the counter, leaving nearly no room for staff to walk. Boardgames are haphazardly oraganized and stick out for customers to get hooked on and knocked on the floors. Action figures located on an outside wall have infant toys shelved right next to adult Walking Dead zombie apocalypse figures (very inappropriate, owners must need mental help). Items on walls and pegs have layers of dust. Comic stands have strange arrangements and do not carrying full lines from publishers. Manga and graphic novels are somewhat organized but have large gaps making following a story from beginning to end not a possibility at this business. Staff was not friendly with one telling the other she was going to quit. Back of store has large room with tables for gaming, but tables are covered in cardboard and debris along with obvious spill stains on clear spots and also on the floors. A...
