Mercado El Granero — Local services in Forest Park

While I don't typically shop here for groceries other than for Mexican drinks; the food served at the restaurant in the back is worth the trip.

The quality and portions of the dishes are significantly better than most of the restaurants around. While I associate the area with good Mexican food, the prices can be slightly hard to justify like 3 tacos for almost 13 bucks? But at this restaurant you get 3 tacos, frijoles and rice to complete the meal.

The workers are very generous and despite the language barrier I have had no problem. The waitresses that take my orders also understand English which helps...
