It was Friday and I wanted fish for lunch. I decided to try this place because a couple of people I know raved about it and the reviews were decent. I wasted $20, so it is a one and done for me. I ordered online with the expectation that by the time I arrived, my food would be ready, hot and fresh. It wasn’t. It was ready, but very cold- like not only had it been sitting since I placed the order 30 minutes prior, but likely had been sitting since they opened that morning. I ordered a Fish & Shrimp snack, which included (1) piece of fish, some shrimp (I did not count them) and a lot of fries. I added another piece of fish, and once I got there added an order of hushpuppies since none came with the snack box. The taste and texture of the fish was not too bad, it just was not hot and fresh, like I prefer fish to be. It would have been very good if it was hot. The shrimp was awful, so tough that they were almost inedible; they were definitely overcooked and appeared to be old, like they had been sitting all day. The fries were cold and not good to me, but the taste could be a preference “thing” because I do not like battered fries. I also thought it was odd that a fish snack box did not come with a couple of hushpuppies, so I added a side order (there were a few more than in the posted picture, those are the ones I threw away). They were hot, but not good at all to me- I ate some, because who has money to waste but ended up tossing the rest of them. I also was not a fan of the white seasoning sprinkled on everything, as it made the food too salty for me taste. I realized the food was no up to par when I got to my car, but based on the appearance (for lack of a better term) of the establishment, I figured it would not do any good to take the food back to request a fresh meal or my...
Read moreThe food is great! The customer service is the most terrible customer service I’ve ever experienced in my 50 years of life! Went in today to buy lunch for my office. When I got back to the office I realized one meal was missing. So I called back and just simply let them know that they had left off one meal. I was told to come back to the location on old Dixie Highway in Forest Park and I did. Once I got there they began to make my order. When the order was ready it was pushed across the counter to me. The customer in line behind me made a comment and I just turned around and said I didn’t do anything wrong they just forgot my meal so I’m not understanding the response I’m getting. The cashier proceeded to start speaking at me over the counter stating how she did not take my order or make my food so she didn’t have anything to do with it. I responded that I was actually speaking to the customer behind me. My voice was not elevated and she continued to elevate her voice. Finally telling me ma’am you can just leave as I was walking out the door. I turned around and just let her know that it was not very customer service friendly for her to argue or comment the way that she was to a customer. She again repeated just leave ma’am BYE. Unacceptable, unnecessary and embarrassing! At the moment I am attempting to notify management...
Read moreHORRIBLE LOCATION! GO TO WESLEY CHAPEL if you want the best JJs experience. FIRST OFF the customer service and management is horrible. THE STAFF on almost everyone I’m there are behind the Counter being ratchet and arguing in front of the customers. The food here is not like the other locations. The portions are much smaller and it appears they cut the fish in half for the dinners here instead of serving whole pieces. I know this because this is the only location where my fish is always small in comparison to Wesley Chapel and Tara Blvd. locations which I like much better. Today I ordered a 3 piece Whiting which again I had to send back because the portion was so small I wish I could upload a pic. The fish was child size and not worth the money. The manager told me “ Sometimes they are big and sometimes small” lol which is an unacceptable response. The food SHOULD be consistent. SHE even knew the plate was unacceptable and offered me a free lemonade but not to recook my order. Not wanting to waste energy and create negative energy I just left with the food I was too mad to even eat but did enjoy the lemonade go figure. I WILL NOT BE BACK AND I OFTEN TELL PEOPLE, DO NOT DO NOT go to this location if you want the best JJs experience. It’s a waste of...
