First view ive ever done. Just want to warn others... ESP BRIDES. I went here a little over a week before my wedding and got my hair dyed by a level 1 stylist. I spoke with the stylist of what color i wanted, which was a brown color. Wanted to cover my greys and have a nice brown before my wedding. My hair currently was a light black/brown if that makes sense - i had just used a dark brown box coloring on my own 2 months ago). I figured a level 1 stylist would be good enough being that i just wanted a simple brown color. Spoke with the stylist and chose a color from the fake hair board that they have - explained a couple times that i wanted a brown color (slightly lighter than i currently had) and she said she understood. After my hair was done, first of all i was really surprised by the way the stylist washed my hair... she left a lot of dark coloring around my head(forehead/a lottt of color still on the back lowerside of my head). 2nd of all, my hair was a darker black then when i walked in. I definitely didn't want this color for my wedding photos. I spoke to the manager at the salon and she quickly apologized saying that sometimes this happens with a level 1 and that they could redo my hair to have the "hair of my dreams" - literally said that. She said I would only have to pay the difference (around $20-30). So i was somewhat relieved since i could get it redone before my wedding (which i had to go back 4 days before my wedding). When i went the 2nd time, long story short... the level 4 stylist said that the boss had said that she would need to be paid in full and didn't reassure me at all that my hair color could even be fixed that day. The boss was not professional saying that brown could be seen differently to different people. The LEAST they could have done was call me before the appointment to give me an update on this MAJOR change. I could have made different arrangements or at least have been ready to make that change. Worst salon experience ive had in lynchburg. do not wish to discuss further in an email. just...
Read moreUsually I had a great experiences at studio style but my most recent was not good. I had gone in for pink highlights but I did not realize I had booked with a level 1 stylist. I called the salon and asked if I should switch but they assured me this stylist could handle it. The highlighting process went fine and I want paying attention as I had showed her an inspo picture and she took a picture of it. After the highlights she did not condition my hair and was deranging my hair. Then to color the highlights she was hand picking them out and I took a long time. I thought she was being thorough and didn’t think much of it. Once she put on the color I really couldn’t see the top of my head but once she blow dried to , it was nothing like the picture. I had been at the salon for 5.5 hours at this point and was so tired I just paid and went home. The highlights are to the root and on the top of my head where I did not want them and I expressed that. Also my picture didn’t have color at the root. It was Thursday night and I had commitments so I had to fix my hair myself as I couldn’t walk outside with this hair. As my mom was helping me fix it she noticed entire strands with no color. I am beyond angry with this and I called to express how I felt over voicemail and not return call. I am not comfortable seeing this stylist again and I do not trust studio style at all now. Keep in mind their satisfaction policy it just be fixed by the same stylist. Beware who you book with! I will not be back for any service this broke the trust I had. The last picture attached was my...
Read moreAs someone with curly hair, I have struggled with my hair my entire life. When my husband and I chose to do an outdoor wedding, we knew that this would be a huge risk for my hair. I took proper precaution and got an express keratin treatment to reduce some frizz. My curly sisters know this is not the ultimate solution though. We were recommended Studio, Style and Spa by our wedding venue, Vaughan House (incredible venue!!) and I could not be happier with the decision. When my, then fiancé, saw my trial hair he cried!! And the trial wasn't even as spectacular as my hair the day of the wedding. I chose to add a couple of clip in extensions to help with fullness. I had worn my clips in casually but never all day or with styled hair. Also! I chose to do a flower crown in my half up half down hair. The flower crown though absolutely stunning, was heavy and didn't want to stay in my hair. Grace did my hair and worked with me, my mom, and grandma to make the flower crown work. The flower crown stayed in my hair the entire day thanks to the help of Grace finding a solution. My hair did not frizz and my extensions blended perfectly into my hair. I could not be happier with the finished product and could not recommend this salon or Grace more. Not to mention, Grace is extremely kind and kept me calm the entire morning despite me being...
