I have finally came around to leaving this review after finding out the name of the Brewery recently that this happened at. It's been about 2 years so hopefully ALOT has changed since then but my story still infuriates me to this day and I want people to be aware and know this was NOT the way to handle a situation.
I came here with a guy I was dating because he raved about the place and there banana beer. Got up to the bar and realized I had left my purse in the car so therefore I decided just not to order anything as I was the one driving that night anyway. The place was pretty packed so I felt more comfortable not drinking anyway. About an hour later the guy I was with asked me to just take a sip of his banana beer just so I could taste what he raved about. Next thing I know out of nowhere I have some old guy jerk me up by my arm and start dragging me across the grass hollering at me to get out. Luckily the guy I came with stood up and stopped the guy from man handling me. He told me I was under age and had to leave the premises immediately because I refused to show my id at the bar. I lit a fire into this man!!!! Letting him know that he was in fact WRONG and had absolutely no REAL reason to grab me and jerk me around the way he did. I took my ID out and showed him and he apologized and offered us free beers but instead I decided to leave because I was so infuriated with the management of this place. There excuse was if they were ever caught serving beer to someone underage they would be shut down. OK well how about ID people entrance where you come in? Pretty much every other place ever does this. Hopefully they do this now since this was 2 years ago but either way the man had no REAL reason to grab me the way he did and I considered calling the cops on the man but did not. Wish I would have since it still makes me mad to think about it today.
I truly hope this place has changed a lot since then. I do believe they had recently opened when...
Read moreThe owners are very passionate about offering high quality beers and a place to enjoy them, and it shows. The taproom offers a comfortable, casual and fun aesthetic: a perfect place to unwind after work, meet up with friends or catch the game.
The brewery itself doesn't sell food, but you can bring your own, order delivery or there are frequently food trucks available in the parking lot. There's a large porch/patio area with corn hole, and space heaters for when it gets chilly. Frequently on weekends Apocalypse has live music.
Apocalypse offers a wide variety of high quality beers available in pints, growlers or in flights for sampling. Expect to pay a little more than a casual restaurant for a drink, ~$6-7 for a pint, but well worth it IMHO for beer that doesn't suck and an extra 4 oz.
The staff and owners are great folks, and between them, the taproom and the beer this is the best bar in...
Read moreAmazing place to get an incredible selection of beers from. All the beers are fairly priced and taste delicious. During the weekends they generally have live music on their back deck with the ability to play cornhole/sit and chat on picnic tables in their fenced in back area below the back patio.
They are dog friendly but don t serve food which is okay since they're a brewery and there seems to always be a food truck there. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is the service can be little slow sometimes with lines out the door to get beer. In these instances I highly recommend getting two beers at a time to save the trips! All around though a great weekend stop during the...
