The BackYard Forest VA — Restaurant in Forest

The Backyard is a great Food Truck park, located on Route 221 Forest VA (Bedford County). They have a good selection of food available and the pricing is reasonable, standard I think for food trucks. I tried a peach hand fried pie from the Pied Piper /cheese steak and fries from JD's Café/ Chicken taco from Al Pastor - my husband also had brisket from Pok E Joe's. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a stop to check out the variety. They have a webpage with information about their trucks as well as events. My 1st time going here. There were maybe 7 food trucks. I had some Honduran food, and it was delicious. I got the Carne Asada, with rice, Pico de Gallo, refried beans, and fried Plantains. It was really delicious. My Pastor and wife got some grill cheese and fries off another truck, while my Apostle had some Pollo, with rice and cheese off of another truck. The food is awesome. It can ba hard to know what it open when. The events are so awesome and having a place to just connect and vibe in a different way is so cool! It can be disappointing when one of your favorites is closed or not available, but it also reminds you to be appreciative of what is available in the moment. The Backyard is more like a Farmers Market of food trucks as compared to an outdoor food court....
