Buyer beware before buying anything from this location. I have done business with the Fort Dodge location many times without issue, until now. Our most recent encounter was mortifying to say the least. First, the facility is clean and well organized. Their sale prices in general are fair for products that actually work, and the staff aren't constantly abraisive like many pawn shop employees tend to be. We have gotten many loans without issue. However, the loan amounts were 20% low considering the high end brands and products being used as collateral. We recently purchased a Rockford Fosgate Class D monoblock car amplifier from them. The amplifier was not installed for another two weeks.and it was defective. The $150.00 amp;ifier did not work properly. We returned with our receipt, the sale sticker, and origional product packaging in hand. We explained the problem as a defective product, and we were denied any and all options such as refund, trade, or even store credit. The young male employee was apathetic and calmly condesending. We were told at the tim of purchase that we could return for refund or store credit if there were any problems with the product. When I told the young man what we were told, he advised me that the salesman did not say that, but he was not willing to admit to underhandedly calling both my wife and me liars. He began to raise his voice, and we began to have a much bigger problem. I asked to confirm what I was hearing: So you're telling me that, as a customer, I spent $150.00 on a product that does not work properly, and you are refusing to do ANYTHING about it. So You do not care that you have my cash, and I have a paperweight. He replied with if I had purchased the protection plan then he would exchange or refund it with no questions. Since we had not, we were stuck with the defective (BROKEN) item they sold us. He refused to call his manager or the employee who sold us the product. He refused to anything other that be politely nasty and rip us off. Another employee spoke to my wife and was a really cool guy. We still do not have so much as a store credit for the defective product we pais cash for. I am pretty angry to say the least. Buyer beware of...

I put a 14kt gold chain on lay way down in Des Moines, it cost 1500 hundred dollars, to make this short I went March 18th to pay it off. I also talked to staff members there about doing a return. I was told I had to wait 24 hrs to do a return and was told to go to Ft Dodge location since it's closer to Carroll Ia were i live. So on March 19th fighting a blizzard i got to the store and Walker was very disrespectful to me and said he wouldn't do the return so I asked him to call the store manger , and after a bit I called the Des Moines store and had them on speaker phone and they told me to come there and do the refund . Walker was very disrespectful,and told me to leave the store. I got lied to and I had to drive two more hours through a blizzard to get to Des Moines were they did the refund for the gold chain 1500 hundred dollars, upon completion of the refund they had to call a store manager to get the approval and lord be hold they had to call Jared at the Ft dodge location. It's been three days now and I still have not received my money back. Customer service feel free to contact me it would be nice to get my money back. Des Moines location hands down...

Too bad I can’t rate it a big fat ZERO. These people are RUDE. I have never felt so gaslighted in my whole life. The interaction started off simple I brought in my gaming monitor the guy plugged in a dvd player with no dvd🤔 and swore up and down that my monitor hdmi was “broken” or something. He told me he has “plugged in the dvd player to every monitor and it was only way they have ever tested them”. First of all this is a GAMING MONITOR a dvd player from the 1800s without a disk obviously wouldn’t register even I know that. The guy asked my fiancé what his problem was only because he was clearly upset that they refused to listen to him the multiple times he told them only a console or pc would register.
