If I could possibly give a negative star review, this would be it. They most definitely would get a 5 star review for the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever seen or witnessed. I wasn't picky by any means and just purchased a box spring for a bed to which I already have a frame and good mattress. Aaron was very kind and efficient in the sales transaction. He stated that it would be put by a set of doors shortly and ready for us to come back and pick up. Sounds easy enough. HOWEVER, upon returning 4 1/2 hours later, a woman greeted us, seeming a bit like we were bothering her simply by us just walking into the store. We stated what we were there to pick up and handed her our receipt, at which time she started making a phone call to somebody. We watched and waited for approximately 10 minutes. I commented under my breath to my spouse that it shouldn't be this difficult. She heard me and got upset, saying she just "fills in" when they aren't there and was trying to find out about it. At that point, I told her she had the receipt, we'd just told her what we were there for, so what was there to find out? She said she'd look downstairs for it. A few minutes later, she hollers up the steps to us that she has it downstairs for us. At that point, we begin walking down the steps and I asked her if my spouse and I needed to move it up the stairs. She came halfway up the steps and told us with attitude that we can come back tomorrow. We told her we have a trailer now, not tomorrow, as well as that it was supposed to be ready to go for us to pick up. At that point, she began yelling at us and told us to leave "her building." My spouse asked for her name as well as her supervisors name. She then said that she rents out the building and she doesn't even work there. She again told us to leave and don't come back. I told her I would definently be back for a refund, as I will take my business elsewhere. She then asked us to come back, then leave again..... it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in customer service. I refused to come back for my purchase as she was just yelling at us and telling us to leave. She then tried to shake my hand, which I refused to do, so of course, she told us again to get out of her building. ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Rest assured, I will be returning for a refund. If she only "helps when they're not there" they would be far better off to lock the doors for an hour or two a...
Read moreI purchased a Black Leather Rocker Recliner New in Dec 2015 from Lifestyles on Central in Fort Dodge. It was priced well over $600 and I paid $400 for it off the floor. I don't remember the brand name. Well, approx. within the first year … the "leather" began to peel within the seating area. It only got worse from there. Now I am the only person in the home with No Pets … Nonsmoker and I keep a Clean home. This was Not normal "wear & tear". This was due to "bonded leather" and when I looked at the Recliner … I had no way of knowing this nor was I aware of "bonded leather". And I was NEVER told by the owner (whom I dealt with at the time) that this Recliner used "bonded" leather. I was told that this was a very high quality recliner. If the Owner had been honest about the furniture he was selling, I would have purchased something else and in all likely hood … from that store. I recently sold the Recliner and got a whopping $50. A $350 loss in less than 3 years. Do I feel "ripped" off … I certainly do. So to whoever reads this …. Please BEWARE of the quality of furniture that Lifestyles sells. And don't Trust what they tell you !!! Do your...
Read moreThe staff is very friendly and not pushy at all. I have been in there browsing several times, and bought a bunk bed and mattress from them. The furniture seems to be high quality, and they sometimes have a few used pieces, as well. Their delivery people were on time, very friendly, and got the bed pieces up our old, switchback stairs without scratching the walls or ceiling, which is a...
