2400 Hudson Apartments — Local services in Fort Lee

Very disappointed with my experience at 2400 Hudson Terrace. Jamie was a great manager when I viewed and decided on the apartment. Then she resigned a few weeks before move-in and it went down hill from there. To be fair, there were highlights: location, decently priced, good amenities.

The apartment was being fully renovated and I wanted to see the end result before signing lease. I was continually pressured into signing a lease when the kitchen was not even finished. I asked for pictures of progress as a minimum. This was a red flag I should’ve contemplated more on.

During my stay: Dog waste not cleaned up by same residents in dog run, constant marijuana smell throughout complex, packages stolen due to no organization system in lobby. due to old age of building, AC broken many times, hot water tank broken half of the winter, constant fire alarms going off monthly 2 weekends my tub was backfilled with sewage due to another unit flooding theirs. Called maintenance with no luck and management continually referring back to maintenance. Finally called corporate with little success. Then find out on my own that maintenance phone accidentally blocked my cell phone number. No apology, except offering to use bathroom in a unit being renovated.

I decided to break my lease (paying the lease break fee) and moved out early. Paid for cleaners and did a walk through. Emailed management several times with no response on security deposit being returned. After many emails and calls to corporate, received security deposit weeks after the lease contractual agreement of 30 days.

This place could be great with the location, but management is poor. One manager is not enough for the # of units. Maintenance tries, but the building is old. Repainting does not make it a luxury apartment. The reviews of others are consistent with...

yeah I guess if you don’t live here you get treated like trash. I was just delivering food and trying to get in the front door when the Black lady in front office started giving me attitude the moment she opened the door. I didn’t even say or do anything to her and she talks me down. I was also delivering for a worker in the FRONT DESK. It took me 15 minutes to deliver this order because the person I was delivering to was busy with something I guess and wasn’t present while I arrived. She literally could’ve taken the order and given it to him but had to act like a damn child. I also said “thank you have a nice day” after she helped me with absolutely nothing and all she said was “mhm” Whoever the management is, do you really need someone like that to greet...

Living in this building was a great experience! if it wasn't for my new job I would have definitely stayed here. They have a modern security system with keyless entry fobs that makes entering the building for residents so quick and easy. The rooftop, laundry room, gym, recreation room, play area for kids, and grill station are all awesome amenities that are well kept and clean. The manager Jaimee is so friendly and makes living there a great experience. She would even put out treats on holidays by her office! She is truly a manager that cares about her residents and listens to their concerns. The convenience of this location to the GWB and local restaurants are also a plus. I truly miss living here. It will always remain one of my best renting...
