H&R Block — Local services in Fort Myers

The staff is extremely knowledgeable. The staff working here have to go through and pass some of the most stringent tax classes and tax updates. This shows in how your taxes are prepared here compared to the other tax companies. In fact they spend most of their time correcting "Taxes" prepared by other tax companies! If there is any refund or deduction owed to you - trust me they will find it!

Now, It is a bit pricy and no they do not have any flashy gimmicks to lure you in! They don't need any. Because what they do have is 'Peace of Mind'! This basically states that not only do they stand by their work; they will stand by you should your tax return is flagged for an audit! AN AUDIT PEOPLE! Turns out an H R Block enrolled agent will deal with the IRS on your behalf! You may even not have to attend! Also if it turns out that you owe anything extra due to their error - they will pay the difference for you!

You can't go wrong here! And if you request an appointment that's not within their working hours - the staff here will go out of their way to accommodate you!

Unlike other tax offices and "tax booths" crammed inside grocery stores, this office is open all year round. The hours are shortened but the office is open. So you know exactly where to go should you have a problem outside...

First time coming here. Booked an appointment online and was seen right away -Great! People were friendly -great! Asked questions needed to fill out my return - great! Got to the cost at the end - $325!!! WTH! I was bamboozled into this fee. They knew it was first time, because the lady asked..she didn’t tell me upfront what the cost was going to be. I was blindsided. The stupid website says $89, which I thought, great.. I can try this.

Better communication needs to be had upfront for new customers so that we can decide whether or not we want to continue with the service/ not wait until the get end to find out (once they’ve entered all the information) and you’re stuck paying it or they can just pull it from your refund 😒 I’m not returning for this reason and the high fees

Moe the "owner" of H & R block is horrible. He completely filled out my wife's taxes, did not explain anything, didn't ask her any questions, and only asked her to sign one document. Upon completion he asked if my wife wanted to apply for the up to 3000 tax loan. My wife said yes, I walked away for two seconds and he was done. I specifically asked you already applied for the loan and he said yes. After a week passed and still no denial or approval notice. We called several other offices and they said there is no record of the loan which we needed, now our car is getting repossessed because we we're relying on the advance he swore he submitted. Worst most untrustworthy person I have ever met.. I strongly urge you to stay away from H&R block on Cleveland Ave...
