This is what I consider to be the ‘main’ shop in the area staffed with professional players as well as the owner. You truly get a feel you could ask the owner anything and get a correct answer.
Dungeons has a hangout vibe and CC has mostly a casual vibe. This is the shop to learn if your actual mtg deck is any good.
I didn’t notice much of a warhammer scene, but it looks like you could buy the stuff there if you wanted. A majority of the players played MTG and they had a larger collection than Dungeons with better pricing. The players typically played pre-release and commander.
They had an amazing two rooms for private groups that I would love to play in. Unfortunately my players are bad at thinking. And would likely lead to wasted money if reserved. But for the majority of DND players wanting a more private setting I would highly recommend. The price is about standard (10/h).
They have a discord and the place is colloquially known as ‘Sally’s Place’ for the owner. They also had a fair bit of DND stuff but I’ve never seen a...
Read moreI haven't experienced a LGS this energetic and diverse in years. Competitive Yu-Gi-Oh has a huge following, Competitive Magic has a strong following(Modern, Pioneer, Limited), Casual Magic has a booming community for Commander all days of the week. Warhammer leagues going strong, Digimon and Flesh and Blood get good turn outs and are visibly growing communities. Their board game and DND communities are very healthy too, truly something for everyone. They have Smash Brothers tournaments that fill up much of the store.
The owners are friendly, respectful, personable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. They do good business. People from all walks of life come to this shop and it's a very open, accepting and a friendly atmosphere. They have a huge space for their storefront (that fills up with players most evenings and even afternoons), great variety in both gaming products and snacks, plenty of places to get good food within a mile of the shop and an awesome location right off...
Read moreA great store if you are into playing the various card games the aging younger crowd are into. They have a very active tournament group. But it also caters to the 40K crowd as well as other miniature wargamers. So you can get 40K products, some terrain, some Flames of War, card sleeves and accessories. They have a lively trade of cards selling and buying. As well as they "tolerate" a couple of tables board gamers that meet regularly. Owners (Mike & Sally) are friendly and helpful and take pride in their new store and running well attended events. Washrooms are always well supplied and clean. (and busy) The money is in the card games, so don't expect to find a selection of other products in the store. Although, they may be able...
