La Placita — Local services in Fort Pierce

Used to enjoy going to this store. They have a butcher shop and are willing to cut meats the way you want. But over the past month and a half I have noticed that they are selling rancid meat. I spent 20 bucks on two steaks on a Friday evening. We started the grill and started to prepare our steaks after the store had closed. Found one of the steaks rancid and nasty looking. Took back to the store the next morning no manager no assistant manager to help me would not replace the item. Asked when the manager would be back in they said Monday. I kept a steak in the refrigerator and went back Monday. Manager gave me a hard time and asked why didn't I bring it back up Friday night I said because they were closed. Then informed manager that I came up Saturday morning but no manager or management staff or owner on duty until Monday. So brought back Monday. Was informed that I should have brought it back Friday and they would have replaced it but unfortunately there was nothing they could do on Monday. How can you take something back when a store is closed you show up the next day and then they make you wait until Monday when the manager comes in. If they are selling rancid raw meat from the butcher shop to their customers just imagine what they're putting in their food. Google does not allow for a negative which is what this store deserves. Water on the floors, coolers not working, selling old meat. Plus when a unit breaks down they keep the food in there until it can be replaced which means it thaws out and then refreezes customers are not aware and it's sold to them.
