It wasn't horrible, but not what I'd hoped for either. My daughter loved it. I think I was hoping for something in my mind, more like a real festival in Japan would be. Americanized versions of everything are obnoxious, stinkier, and always lacking manners. We are far from a clean, polite, high-trust society. Then because I'm getting old, I have to get snooty looks from kids who are cosplaying. Great family friendly free entry event with something for everyone. Great food, martial arts, music, traditional dance and tea ceremonies, kimonos, taiko drums, children's activities, art contests, bonsai trees, haiku, anime, costumes... really a fun event.
