I will never use another appliance company ever again.

We moved to Ft. Wayne last week from Bellingham, MA to a house that desperately needed appliances. Instead of going to a big box store, I thought I’d try a local place. Elwood’s was about ten minutes away, and had good reviews, so I gave it a shot.

I was met by Mike, who was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. He gave me a run down of the inventory, and informed me that a new order would be arriving in a few days. I told him that I would return then.

When I returned (yesterday), there was indeed more stock, but I was happy selecting what I had my heart set on earlier. I was once again helped by Mike and two younger men who were brothers. The purchasing process was smooth and the price was UNBEATABLE. They informed me that the three appliances would be delivered within 24 hours, and for only $50! I was beside myself.

Today came, and I received a call that they could deliver the appliances two hours earlier. They showed up, moved the appliances, and installed them quickly. That included hooking up the gas stove, the range microwave, and almost hooking up the water line to the fridge (I had plumbing issues that need fixing). The owner himself came by and assisted in the installation process.

Everyone we delt with was very friendly! We bought a used machine with a warranty. They didn't have time to run all tests on the washer which we knew going in. The machine ended up having problems the staff was so kind and understanding didn't act like it was an inconvience at all. They gave us our money back but we were so impressed and felt like we could trust them due to excellent customer service we ended up just going ahead and buying a new one from them which they were so kind to give us a good discount. I will say we will make our future purchases from here because it is so hard to find a place anymore that for one simply stands by their word and is actually honest with you from the get go which I find great value in. If you are nervous about buying an appliance they offer a 1 year warranty with all new appliances and a warranty for 30 to 90 days on used. So you can't go wrong! I am pleased to write a review and recommend Elwood's to anyone shopping for appliance(s). I went in to buy a refrigerator but also bought a range, microwave, and dishwasher in the GE Café line. The installation went very smoothly. I am completely satisfied with these appliances, they look and perform great, the stainless steel is easy to clean. The refrigerator holds the temperatures in both sides within 1 degree; the d/w is so quiet I would almost have to listen with a stethoscope to hear it and everything comes out sparkling clean. The ice maker failed within a couple weeks but Justin came out the same day to install a replacement, no questions asked, and there have been no problems with the replacement unit!
