Since writing this review Lazydays has responded in a positive way. They hired a new Service Manager who actually cares. He sent me a check for my hotel and requested I bring my camper in the next time I'm in Tuscon. At least they are working on repairing our relationship. I purchased a brand new camper from Lazydays RV. I Live 10 hours away so I elected to pick it up myself. They advertised the toy hauler on the Internet as new with no problems. They lied because it had tons of problems like leaking windows, a defective A/C, defective tires, bad weather molding, glass separating from hinges, the tires started separating, and the list goes on. This was all supposed to be checked by the dealer before accepting it from the manufacture. Unfortunately the only way I could find these types of problems is by seeing it and using it. Before my long trip home I decided to stay at the Lazydays KOA and use my free KOA voucher. This was the beginning of a very long nightmare. Lazydays RV promised to fix the problems if I waited in Tucson. I did not want to bring my $65k camper home in the condition it was in and the dealer in my state had a 2 month wait before they would even look at it. For these reasons I dropped it off at Lazydays but I would have to stay the weekend. 10 days later and a few thousand dollars down the toilet they called at closing time and said it was ready. I picked it and drove 12 hrs to meet family for a camping trip. That night I stayed in it and that is when I noticed they didn't fix any of the problems. To make things worse it now had a major plumbing leak in a wall causing the bathroom and bedroom to flood. The ac still didn't work so I was up all night trying to stay cool. The Windows still leaked. It is unbelievable this place is still in business. It turned out Lazydays did not know how to repair the unit even though they are a licensed dealer for the brand I purchased. I checked the lemon laws in AZ but the state only protects the dealer. The federal lemon laws aren't much better. They would not let me exchange it or issue me a refund. Luckily the manufacturer stepped in but only because I contacted them directly. The manufacture sent a truck to my house and hauled it back to the factory. They confirmed the ac was bad so they replaced it with a new unit. Wow what a relief. It works great now. At the KOA in Tucson it was 92 deg inside the camper at 10:30 pm but the service manager still argued with me and said it was fine. I thought I was going to die so I ended up staying in a hotel the last several days at my own expense. I had no working ac and the daytime high's wear reaching 110 deg and they thought it was okay to make me sleep in the camper with no working ac. They said I was to drop it off at their shop everyday and then have me pick it up at the end of the day so I could sleep in it at their KOA and repeat this process everyday until they finished. I politely requested they reimburse me for my hotel room but they refused. It is my belief they DO NOT care about the customer. Don't let them fool you. They ACT like the nicest people until a problem arises. I have sent them several emails but they do not respond. The manufacture said they would talk to them but I still haven't heard from them. Not even an apology. Before posting this bad review I thought I would give it some time to let them respond and let the dust settle. 5 months have past and they have done nothing. Before you buy an RV do your homework on both the dealer and the manufacturer. I think we all know dealers have problems. In my opinion what separates the good dealers from the bad dealers is how they respond to their problems. Always ask if they stand behind the products they sell. Don't assume just because they have a TV show and a lot of big fancy TV adds they will stand behind the products they sell. Obviously I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM LAZYDAYS. This place doesn't even...
Read moreAfter a long wait to get on the schedule, I dropped my motorcoach off at Lazy Days RV in Tucson, Arizona, in December. I had several service requests, such as the recommended engine and generator service, paint touch up, diagnosing why heat did not reach the bedroom when using the propane heater and replacing the tv antenna, but the primary issue was that one of the slide outs had stopped working. All of the issues were taken care of by mid-January, except the slide out. The primary slide out controller was replaced three times, another controller in the coach was replaced once, one of the two electric motors that move the slide out was replaced and the relays and the wiring were all checked, but the slide out still was not working. 131 days after dropping the motorcoach off for service, I received a phone call with the news that they could not diagnose what the issue was and they asked me to come pick up the motorcoach.
I will say that they did not charge me for the work on the slide out, but my RV warranty paid for all the parts, so the dealership was out only their labor. Unfortunately, after picking up the motor coach, I found many issues that are simply inconceivable to me. When working on the heater air flow issue, they removed two floor vents in the bedroom. The floor vents were not put back in place and the screws for them were just left on the floor. The vent in the bathroom was covered with duct tape and the duct tape was left for me to remove and clean up. The engine access door in the bedroom was not reinstalled nor secured. Numerous wiring harnesses were removed and left on the floor of the coach. I found two sets of wires that had been soldered at some point and the bare wires were left laying in a pile with other wiring. What is even worse is that the central vacuum and the entry steps to the coach were not working, but were when I dropped the coach off. When I got home and started to clean up the mess left by the dealership, I discovered that the vacuum would not start when I inserted the vacuum hose. I went to check the power cord and sure enough, the vacuum was not plugged in. I soon discovered why. Once plugged in, the vacuum will not shut off, even when the hose that is supposed to turn it on and off is removed from the vacuum connection. On top of everything else, they charged me for 2 shop towels and $143 for a battery that never ended up in my motorcoach.
In conclusion, Lazy Days RV Service Shop fixed a few things, could NOT fix the slide out, left lots of work half done and broke two things that worked before I got there. I think their service techs are getting on the job training on how to repair motorcoaches, but no one has ever talked to them about customer service! I will NEVER go to Lazy Days RV, anywhere in the USA, for anything, and I advise anyone who reads this to never consider Lazy Days RV for their service needs.
There is a happy ending to my visit to Lazy Days. After picking up the coach, I travelled to my summer home in Colorado, where I reached out to the mobile service company I had used in the past. I was looking for a referral to someone who might be able to fix the slide out. They said they would take a look and let me know afterwards what they believed to be the best course of action. A few days later I met the owner of RV Doctor, of Loveland, Colorado. He found that the main controller was not sending power to the motors. I still had the original motor in my coach and he suggested we test it. It worked! Power was coming from the controller. He found an additional problem with a wiring short and spliced the affected wire. In less than 2 hours, the slide was repaired. He also helped me fix the entry steps and the central vac. It has been almost 6 months and the slide out still works perfectly.

Read moreI would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank each staff member of the Lazydays RV of Tucson team with whom we interacted! We recently purchased a used 2019 Airstream Bambi Sport 22FB and we are so pleased to now be a part of the Airstream and Lazydays families! For some background, my wife and I had discussed buying an Airstream, but had not decided on a particular model as we had never walked through one in person. We went to Lazydays RV in Tucson to do a walk-through of Airstreams. Bob Kay, salesman, greeted us promptly and professionally as we entered the building. After listening carefully to our RV needs and hearing of our desire to check out some new Airstreams, he acknowledged, unfortunately, there were not any new Airstreams on the lot. However, at our request, he took the time to walk us out to see what other inventory they had that may interest us. I want to point out that Bob was not pushy and was not trying to sell us on something we did not want! Lo and behold, as we were walking out on the lot there was sitting both a used Airstream Basecamp (too small for us) and a used 2019 Airstream Bambi Sport 22FB that had recently come in. We did a walk-through of the Bambi Sport and decided that this would meet our needs. Lazydays had no objection to us hiring an independent RV inspector (Roadrunner RV Inspections) who completed a thorough inspection, advising us of the items that we may wish to have addressed before completing the deal. The inspection identified no catastrophic items. Each of the items we requested be fixed were promptly addressed by Lazydays Tucson to our satisfaction. We appreciate Yesika Sutherland, our Delivery Advisor, and the Lazydays Tucson maintenance team for positively addressing each of our requests. Yesika made a point of saying that they wanted to ensure that we had a good customer experience at Lazydays Tucson and our satisfaction was important to them. They clearly demonstrated this.
We also had a positive experience with Heather Freestone, Business Manager, who worked with us on financing the RV and the purchase of other related services. In particular, Heather recommended that we pick up the GAP insurance; I was initially reluctant because of Airstream’s noted quality and longevity. However, I’m so glad that we did purchase the gap insurance after subsequently reading about hailstorms and that insurance companies have in the past totaled out Airstreams if the damage was significant. We now have peace of mind knowing that the loan will be covered if something happens. Additionally and importantly, Heather was able to find a loan that had an extremely favorable interest rate and had terms with which we were quite pleased.
Laura Pagbin, Airstream Specialist at Lazydays Tucson, did a great job of conducting a very thorough walk-through of our new Airstream with both of us; she reviewed each system and each process - making many important points along the way that will help to ensure that we keep our Airstream in good condition for the long haul.
Our overall experience with Bob Kay, our salesman, was excellent. In fact, when we picked up our Airstream on a Friday afternoon after concluding the paperwork - Bob stayed for a good hour after closing time to help us move many items from our old rig into our Airstream. That kind of customer service is uncommon and we very much appreciated it!
Lastly, I’m certain that in 3 – 4 years, as full-time RVers, we will be looking to upgrade again and we look forward to returning as a repeat customer with...
